I do have to say that this and another build have been the inspiration for me to start on just such a project!! Excellent work, keep posting the progress. If by chance you would be willing to share some of your plans I would be willing to compensate you for them. Did you have a cat manual to go from or just scale model?

It's awesome to see the ripper and hydraulics functioning. What pressure was the pump running at? Those cylinders seem to have enough power to be able to lift the rear of the dozer off it's tracks.

The hydraulics are running at 12bar from a leimbach pump that was in my Wedico 345d. With the 16mm cylinders it has enough power for me not to be able to hold back the piston rod by hand.

All three dozers are at the same stage now, ready for hydraulics. We will finish one completely and iron out any bugs then finish the other two.
Work will see me away from home for a bit so work on the dozer stalls again.

Re: D11 New Project

Man, that is a sweet shop to fabricate. I love the dozer, very nice to see the details and the detailed info in this thread. Cant wait to see that first one done. I have a stahl dozer that I am going to make some mods. Nothing like this, but this has at least inspired me to replace the hardware with scale screws.
Thanks,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,
I also like the Stahl dozer I tried to get one not so long ago through a friend but failed, maybe in the future. When you have done your mods please share some photos.

Re: D11 New Project

3 Attachment(s)
Hello. Yes I was fortunate to get my hands on this one. It has been sitting on a shelf with my other machines. It did not have hydraulics when I purchased it. I love hydraulics and my plan was to install hydraulics. But after operating this dozer with this super robust mechanical lift mechanism, I decided to leave it. I was impressed with the power combined with the smooth movements. It has limit switches for the up and down. So no hydraulics in this machine. But It will get some other mods.
It is amazing at all of the dozer talk on this forum. I am so impressed with the details. When I first got into the construction and hyraulic RC, I wasn't much of a dozer fan. But that definitely changed. I guess we just love Dozers!
Thanks,
Eddie

Great work on the "triple dozers". The speed of this one looks realistic. Your attention to details places this dozer very high on the great builds list. Looking forward to more progress.
