Re: My Stretched globeliner
Truck and trailer is looking good. Nice job on the tool boxes on the flatbed

Re: My Stretched globeliner
Thanks Dave!
Leveled out the trailer tonight,re polished the front plate, and tore all the boards off... The shelving brackets are thicker then the wood so it won't work the way I hoped. I'll try grinding down some spots so it will this week. My daughter knocked my TX off the shelf it was on and broke the y training switch, lucky not needed right now, but took it apart to make sure no other damage happened.a few times after the radio when turned on would make a weird beep and all lights would flash... |
Re: My Stretched globeliner

Re: My Stretched globeliner
Well with the antisipation of parts coming in this week i did a little cleaning in the workshop this week so id have the room and could find what i needed
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...801_231548.jpg Then i got the truck ready for surgery http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...801_231559.jpg So today i came home to a package from Russ! :D Boy was i happy!! heres what i got http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_195543.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_195550.jpg He got it exactly the way i wanted it!!!! LOVE IT!! So i knew the time had come to make some mods on the truck so i measured 8 times:eek: and marked the area http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_213640.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_213644.jpg Then got out the dremel with the metal cut off wheel.... Started cutting http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_213847.jpg Fhew that came out good now the other side http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_214001.jpg Just about 1 inch off on each side http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_214007.jpg Test fit http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_222747.jpg Then after breaking 2 drill bits  i got the new screws in and tight cut the decking to where i wanted it and now here is the new rear end of the truck http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_224150.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_224202.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_224213.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_224834.jpg Now i have a lot more clearance room for the lowboy as well http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...802_232051.jpg So now i need input on this..... few options i can go with it 1. Make all 6 turn signals 2. Make outer 2 turn inner 4 brake 3. Make inner 2 turn outer 4 brake 5. Make all 6 brake and move turn signals to the outer 2 on the light bar on the rack mount 6. Make outer 4 turn and inner 2 brake..... I cant decide now... PLEASE help me i dont have duel leds or all 6 would be brake and turn :D Also i plan on tying into the trailer portion of the mfu without the MFU trailer harness. but just for the brake lights... the turn will just be spliced into the original rear turn signal wires.... does anyone know which 2 prongs on that portion of the mfu do i want??? Thanks for looking!! :D:D |
Re: My Stretched globeliner
Can't help you with the lighting, but the new rear light bar looks good
|
Re: My Stretched globeliner
Hey dabears, nice chop job and rear lights look great. In my opinion I would go with option #2 with turn lights on the outside.
I have the answer to your MFU question...just so happens that yesterday I removed the trailer lighting kit and can tell which wires are for brake lights. The wires are the blue and green wire. When holding the plug and looking at the wires and the connector lock tab is top side and away from you, the first 2wires starting from the left - blue , then green. Hope this helps, truck looks sweet. One of the best COE on site! Mario |
Re: My Stretched globeliner
the bumper looks great on the truck :D i would go with #2 also on the lights
|
Re: My Stretched globeliner
I love the light bar Aaron:D:D It gives your truck some "BAD TO THE BONE" attitude.:eek::eek: Your truck is definitely a show stopper.:);)

Re: My Stretched globeliner
I like the bumper but not where it is at. I think you need to move the bumper forward closer to the back of the fenders. It looks like it is just hanging out there by its self.

Re: My Stretched globeliner
Ok this is better! Took another 3/4 off the frame. I'm going to have to re work the tear fender mounts as its not going to work well like they are now but no biggie. Let me know how you like this way compared to the other way (not that I can change it now lol)
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...804_000549.jpg How is this Travis? But I'll make them in black and a better fit? http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...804_000808.jpg Thanks for looking and for the comments even if you don't like it be honest it helps me out! |
Re: My Stretched globeliner
HUGE improvement. Looks alot better with the extra cut off
|
Re: My Stretched globeliner
Nice
|
Re: My Stretched globeliner
Yup , looks much better. Travis was right, I guess it was sticking out too much. Now it looks as part of the truck rather than something added on. With each thing you do to this rig it is becoming one of the sharpest looking Coe on site. The next build of the month featuring cab overs, I'm sure the voting will prove it!
One thing I would change though, I noticed the steer tires have a drive tire type tread pattern. That was one of the first things I changed on mine. I found a set on PMD that have a tread design which looks a lot more like steer tires. That's it, the rest is great. Mario |
Re: My Stretched globeliner
Hey Aaron, I retract my comment bout the front tires. I see you've had a couple different styles of front tires on it. It was a early picture from awhile ago where I saw the tire tread was a drive tire.....all is good ! Lol

I have to agree this is one of the best looking cabovers on the board, and the rear looks alot better the way it is now awsome job.
