Re: Snochaser's Construction Co. Builds

I recieved one response back from ScaleART pretty much saying "our stuff doesn't have problems, sorry about your luck."

I hope to hear back a little more. I went and found some servos that will fit. I noticed the valve body had a sticky spot to it, so I rotated the valve around to an easily moved position. All is working with the hydros now. Fingers are crossed!

Next step is to contact Brixil electronics to figure out the operation of their pump control unit.

Ben,

It does look good...

Which hoses did you blow? From the pump to the valve block or one of the lines to the rams? Just curious.

On the servos, as previously suggested also check the end points. On my excavator I check them every now and then (every couple of months) just to ensure they aren't hitting the stops and damaging the valves or themselves.

It will be interesting to hear how you go with Brixl stuff.

Cheers,
AP

Re: Snochaser's Construction Co. Builds

The first one was a bucket cylinder near the pump reservoir. The second one was right at the valve body.
I have looked over and moved done hoses around. The valves seem to operate easy by hand, the servos are at 100% on the radio now and don't appear to be over rotating. I ended up finding some Futaba servos that work. I'm going to put everything back together today and see if anything changes.

Have you had to adjust the hyd press at all from factory? Does the loader arms lift as you push into the pile. What voltage are you running?

Snochaser 08-26-2012 11:34 AM

Re: Snochaser's Construction Co. Builds

No I haven't adjusted the pressure at all. I haven't notiiced any lift when running it.

What I meant was will the loader arms lift the bucket as you push hard into the pile? And what voltage are you currently running? 3s?

Re: Snochaser's Construction Co. Builds

Oh, sorry. Yes it will lift as I push, it's pretty darn strong. 12v

That is probably the coolest model I have ever seen. Does ScaleArt offer a ripper for the rear?
That would be really nice!

Claus here is a link to a new loader that a member posted here that has the riper on it. Scale Art did a nice job on the whole model, they are a work of art.

Link click here.

Just an update:
I think I've worked the bugs out. Did some additional cleaning up of the electronics, painted the cab. ScaleArt was great with all of my issues with it, helped me with everything, even replaced 2-servos for me. Haven't had any problems even digging in the dirt outdoors.

congrats on getting the bugs worked out ,I know it must have been frustrating having such a nice model and not get to use it. But now you can get to work:D
