Re: RCP Compound
I remember that model Mario I saw them tearing one down for rebuild @ the local Cat Dealer before I moved from Ny that pic brings back memories

Re: RCP Compound
Oops....I see I may have opened a can of worms on you Reg, now everyone will be suggesting what you should build next....my turn....I have to agree with you about having a loader, watching your vids with you using the small loader looks like fun, a larger version would be able to do a bit more "work" if you can use the words work and RC in the same sentence. I would vote for a big loader with a high lift......we should both build one at the same time, same machine two different scales....oh but it has to be big enough to load a 777 :D:D

Re: RCP Compound
That loader and squirrel are awesome!
Keeping myself in check, I took a break from building and played with this thing for a bit while I fed some mosquitoes. It's actually a lot of fun for a light weight toy. I can see why people convert these things. https://youtu.be/ceTs-Wq6xJY http://i1293.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7j4rxgv1.jpg |
Re: RCP Compound
Seems like the operator has been behind some CAT controls before a time or two eh? Good job on the conversion Reg.

I filmed a short in cab video tonight. The camera really picked up the noise so turn the volume down if you don't enjoy horrible noise. http://rctruckandconstruction.com/fo...play.php?f=106 |

Thanks Mark. I'm not sure why the other link was copied and pasted. It happened once and I caught it and thought I had fixed it. I guess we all know what happened to the guy that thought...
That Euc is a big girl! That must have been later on when they were owned by Hitachi or something? |
Re: RCP Compound

Re: RCP Compound
Probably never. We haven't had snow here for 4 winters in a row! Cool toy though.

Re: RCP Compound
With the nice weather I have been trying to spend more time outside of the shop. This thing hadn't been run in two years so I had to clean the carb(more than once), drain the fuel and so on just to get it running. I haven't messed with these things much in years but it had a pretty serious bog off idle before so while I was playing mechanic I started trying some different jetting. It's a bit fat at full throttle(me too) but I have it running pretty good now.:D

Looks like fun! Any you didn't even take a dirt nap!

Re: RCP Compound
Not really anything to do with "the compound" but I insured this yesterday for the first time in a couple of years. I went for a 50K logging road/trail ride today and did one yesterday too. Both rides were only about two hours a piece but it was great to be back on this thing! Good times...

Re: RCP Compound
Sweet vids, and nice bike! Don't worry I yell and sing random things when riding everything too haha:D

Here are a few videos from the days play in the snow.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdy25JOG-Rc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykZXb3Vs7YY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLZDtJeeMl4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X7f8V3pKKM I didn't get far in this one as the snow was getting pretty deep for 1/14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoCze3XOSZc After the Hayes got stuck I was running out of options so I brought out the Tigercat 630D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc8kkevrPHc After a fair bit of positive harassment from my wife, she convinced me to get the pit bikes going for some laps in the field. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q6G8e3wNlI Thanks for looking! |
Re: RCP Compound
Good to see you are making it through the winter Reg, started to think you were like the bears and went and found a hole to hibernate in until spring ! !
Great photo's of the Logging operation... Did you use a drone for those shots ? looks like full size machines. Trees sure are big on the South end of the Island.. haahah Greg |
Re: RCP Compound
Very nice shots! It fun to be outside with "scale snow" :)
|
Re: RCP Compound
