Re: RCLogger
Lookin good Greg!
How about a photo of the new hoe with your KH logger for size reference or even with your last hoe you sold to Steamer? It does look like quite a bit bigger. ;) |
Re: RCLogger

Re: RCLogger
Started another project last week as the excavator is almost completed. This one has been moving along very quickly. I am starting to think I am overlooking something ??? I used my lathe for the rims, otherwise I have only used the band saw and a drill press, file and hacksaw and some rivets..

Re: RCLogger
Nifty new project Greg! Hard to tell yet what make it will be. But I'm sure it will keep you busy for the winter.
If I may make one suggestion before you get much further? Incorporate as much steel in the construction of the loader model as you can, the heavier - the better, especially in the rear. ;) Keep the loader arms & bucket in aluminum to conserve your hyd power to where it counts, but steel as much as possible everywhere else. |
Re: RCLogger
great start Greg :) I like those tires :) I just wish they made them bigger :(
|
Re: RCLogger
Looking good Greg! It's nice to see you've started another project right away!

Re: RCLogger
RCLogger, your work is amazing. I think you should make
http://waratah.net/assets/images/news/praise1-large.jpg Its just a kato head, only something a little bigger than the whats in the photo for some real man trees. :pOr how about building a stroker? http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...3IPpo6RHSdVcEw :D:D Just a thought, I see them all the time and figured it would be so awesome to see them in rc. My familey was or is in the industry here in washington and those were how we cut our firewood before Weyerhauser caught wind of it :D haha As for the logs to run through them, your going to have to find some arrow sticks:cool: |

Those heads are a work of art, lots of moving parts in them... I think there is tallented people on this thread who could build something like that, BUT I am not one of them... |
Re: RCLogger
Started working on the boom, it is 14 inches to the bucket pin.

Re: RCLogger
Nice loader, and a quick builder, already paint on it!
What type of drives do you have? Looks like 2(4) according to post 445. Dan |
Re: RCLogger
As usual, looks really nice Greg.
|
Re: RCLogger
Looks Great, You are an artist.
What is the loader in the background of several of the photos? |
Re: RCLogger
It looks real good Greg. Is it going to raise the bucket high enough to load a Tamiya scale truck? Keep up the good work. Ed

Re: RCLogger
Thanks for all the comments guys
D8R Your right Dan, I am running four motors, not so scale but very good power.. Flyingbeagle That's tracksandtreadslou ( Lou ) 966 in the background, nice to have a model of similuar size to look at from time-to-time to use as a reference when building.. Jammer The bucket is 11 inches when dumping when the boom is all the way up, lots of height.. MPE Thanks for the tires, I think they will work great on this machine... |
Re: RCLogger
I was able to do the first test run on my CAT 980, its a little sloe backing up, but otherwise I am happy with it..
