Traxxas do a 1/16 rc that has a Camaro body available for it. Its 180mm wide. Same as the truck, thats about as close as you can get i think.

This truck is nothing short of breathtaking! I especially like the quilted aluminum doors. Outstanding work my friend!

Hello everyone the only thing holding up this build being finished is the wiring of the l.e.d.s for the trailer..its funny i rewired my real KW Zeus when i got the new main electrical junction box for the whole truck and wired up some l.e.d.s inside...piece of cake but trying to wire up a ton of lights on the R/C trucks is very frustrating for me because you have resistors...etc and volts you have to worry about. I have read lots of threads on it but for me its a visual thing...that works for me. So at some point when i figure it out i will be able to say its done for this build too...hopefully before i get to old ....lol

tore down the old transformers trailer and decided to build a new one more to scale and detail .this one will be a true aluminum 53ft reefer trailer
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...psf85fe69d.jpg
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...ps303914c2.jpgmaking the measurements as i am using the suspension and other parts from the old trailer
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...pse6cbd4d5.jpghere is the frame and floor of the trailer so far ,i installed the suspension in a fixed spot just in a more forward position as the real one has
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7abc5ae6.jpgi think this trailer will be much better than the previous shorter on and it will be a true ribbed aluminum reefer

Nice, that's what I did with mine too. Ali base, stainless sides and roof, with Ali frame. Did the front from bent sheet the same. Only plastic parts are the rear doors since I just cannot find any metal sheet with the right size pattern.

Re: optimus prime transformers

well some of you may or may not know ..i too built the transformers Optimus Prime ...the first one to come up with this idea as soon as i saw the very first movie some years ago.it has been a painstaking job to try to get this truck exactly or as close to the real truck as possible including getting the storage boxes made to the proper front bumper etc.i have not been very good with l.e.d.s. so this truck has been in the building stages for roughly about 2-3yrs and its still not completed yet...lol however i did drop it to a good friend and a member of my r/c truck club Peter Mitchell(mavrick0) and he basically redid pretty much the whole truck to fix the mistakes done by others who were supposed to help (yea right) anyway i am still building the scale stainless 53ft trailer for it but here are some updated pictures of the new and improved Optimus Prime ...the way it should look ..hope you like it as much as i love it :bounce::bounce:

Niiiiice. Love seeing trucks all lit up!

Bit of constructive criticism, the headlights look like cool white leds, which make them look quite blue. If you use warm white leds it will help to differentiate them from all the blue lights.

Are you planning to do the front indicators? Surface mount leds should fit in the maker light bars.

actually bob the headlights are hid white lights ,it just looks blue because of the camera trust me they are white and as for the front indicators my friend did fibre optics in it so this little tiny thing lights up the whole cavity

That is an amazing truck, I am not ready to tackle something that impressive, yet, but because of a thread you started the other day, I have renewed my thinking, and will build things I want to do. The critics need to start showing THEIR builds. Thanks for the inspiration!
