Great Build Paul! The detail that you are putting into it will make a great truck for sure. I like the raised area around the filler cap on the fuel tank, nice attention to detail! The grille came out nice also, its a real pain in the a$$, huh? you've captured the look for sure!

Thanks Much Brian..

Thanks much on the real truck it is not painted.

Ok a little more done I am waiting on the roof to the sleeper but I got some done..

I built the deck plate and the 5th wheel mount I went with a fixed like the 1to1.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...y/001-Copy.jpg

Then I was able to get it sprayed and let it dry a day as i went with a signal stage instead of a base clear on the frame..Also went semi gloss black on the trans as the motor in the real truck is semi gloss black with a red head on it.

Wow, Paul that paint job is really nice, the red and black work so well together. I also would never had thought that reg pvc pipe would make such beautiful fuel tanks,(thank you for showing us how you did the fuel tanks) i can't wait to see more of this rebuild.:D

You laid a nice paint job on the chassis! It looks really nice. Stupid question, but I am kind of curious why the tank saddle mount and tank strap does not line up, in the rear. I know it's going to be hidden, but I'm still baffled.

Nate the tank mounts are also were the sleeper bolt threw to be mounted I did not want to drill extra holes in the wedico sleeper so I went with what there was AND you cant see it anyways so I thought no big deal..

Thanks Much Marty!! It has a flaw or 2 in it but I am hoping to buff it out.. Waiting on some parts but soon I hope to have more done. I want to have the cab and sleeper in paint finished this weekend. I am reworking the roof of the cab right now.

Ok little update guys and gals..;)

First off I wanted to change the layout of the cab lights so I sanded it down with 60 with my DA and added a piece of .040 plastic to the top glued solid then body work and lay out the pattern..

Before

After
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/002-45.jpg

Pattern
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/003-47.jpg

Then I made these up last March as a few of you guys know I did them out of 3/4 copper and then soldered them together but the big ? has been with me and Jon is if the soldered with hold up to the polishing heat after the chrome well the answer is NOPE... I went to my buddys shop and used his polishing wheels and buffed the copper to a crazy shine and they got to hot for the solder so I Brazed this set up and made 2 more sets so ill have them chromed soon but here is the blacks ones I am planing on using on this truck.

Whatcha think?? waiting on a bunch of parts but I will have the cab in black tomorrow..

It all looks good Paul other than the fenders they just don't look right with the small tires. I would say rework the fenders or go back to the bigger tires, just my opinion.

I agree about reworking the fenders, there is always Jons bolt-on fenders, but I know I dont have to tell you about them lol.
