Great looking build, very much enjoying following your build posts. What is the source for the aluminum rear ends (differentials)?

Thank you for the information,

Jim

thanks Scott M, its my first attempt at the interior, been thinking of how to do it for years, then I just starting cutting in to some styren, it aint that bad once you get going :D

thanks Jim
I really cant remember where I got them, maybe rcbmin.com or rigid.com , they are just shells and uses tamiya differential parts so they aren't that pricey

I'm curious, why is it popular to move the front axle forward, and cut the front fenders like you have?
Thanks!!

Re: all dressed up and nowhere to go

I fucking hate these trucks sometimes, got this pretty awesome "kenworth" frontend from shapeways, everything is dandy, cut the hood of my king hauler, minor rebuild in front of the windscreen, so I'm sitting here at my work table smiling planning everything can't wait to ship it of to the painter, even talked to the painter yesterday, bragging about how great its gonna be when it get the custom blend green paint I got made for it, and then I kinda look at my new hood, and my polished aluminum grill doesn't fit, it's about half an inch to low, so now I got around 7 pounds of aluminium parts, just about ready to throw everything out the window...

Thanks, I only wish that I could take credit for it myself, but it would never have looked like this if it wasn't my old friend JB and his skills ;)

Made myself a rear bumper for the rustbucket today, had some leftover parts from a Grand Hauler, the bottom part is staying chrome and the rest is being painted.

I got a mercury sleeper for it, I got of of ebay, but it got a long way to go before it looks like the one in the picture, its a bit more rough around the edges then i thought it would be.

Had to look that up, never seen a shotgun shifter before! Yup, they do exist!

Where did you source the KW grill from? I've already got the KW grill badge, & see that the grill you have is PERFECTLY shaped for placement of the KW badge. I'd like to get one. The one's I seem to find are all around the $40-$60U.S.D. price range. Seems a bit steep to me for such a small piece.

I cant remember where I got it, maybe rigidrc or rcbrmin, had it laying around for a couple years before I started this build.
