Re: Cat D11
WTF? What is with these shipping companies? Unless it's wrapped in concrete they seem to be able to damage things on a regular basis. SH!TTY!
|
Re: Cat D11

Re: Cat D11
Too bad for bad transport, but I belive its easy fix. I had similar problems shipping laser cut 1mm sheet metals for my trailer. And i decided to use 2mm next time:D
But this thing looks massive! It will look great after paint. I want a beast like that in my life  |

|
Re: Cat D11

Re: Cat D11
The blade weight should be 35.000-55.000lb 1/1 Right ?
|
Re: Cat D11
Hello bigford did do anything with Fedup about the shipping or did you just let it go? I would think you should at least get some money back on the shipping. It's a shame you pay all that money and you get it all tore up before you get it. I was thinking about one of those my self but after seeing what you got I think I will pass. Ed

Re: Cat D11
Cooper, at the show this weekend, did I hear you telling Steve or someone else that the dirt likes to get stuck between the grouser and the pad in front of it? On my little Oliver it does exactly that. I should have took a few close ups of your machine. Do you have a build thread here with a good pic of the track pads?
I'm thinking about machining a few prototype track pads and want to try to reduce the dirt problem if possible. Wonder if the grouser could be moved back a bit? Mark, could you tell me where you ordered you motors and what the part number is? Nice to see you both at the show! Jim |
