Re: Project Gun Shy...
Wow also nice to see a owner of a truck not get Butt Hurt about a comment. To true Shane were all big boys be nice but be honest..
I my self think the bumper fits the look of the truck maybe a little more show truck then it is but it looks great I am a less is more lights guy so just the bottom lights would of worked for me but it still looks good.. |
Re: Project Gun Shy...
I agree with Paul I like the T bar but less lights would make it look better in my opinion.

Re: Project Gun Shy...
Me likey..:D:D.. It does stand out for sure..But when this thing is done it will be little compared to the rest of the truck...It should look like a rolling Christmas tree:eek::p:p...There is a saying..."aint no feeling like chicken mobilin"..:p:p Cluck,Cluck, chicken truck..:eek::p:D..

Re: Project Gun Shy...
wow elbarto that is a sweet ride in the making just the way a show truck should be long and low !!
are you going to move your fuel tank toward the steps and ad body panels between the cab and tanks and steps ? over all i really like the truck at this stage and ill bet it comes out top shelf |
Re: Project Gun Shy...
You aint seen nothing Shane...Wait till he puts the build thread on that up...Video sound system...."AMAZING":eek::eek::D
|
Re: Project Gun Shy...
i like the lights. Im a chicken man myself ain't nothing like night riding in the niebor hood and drawing a crowd. cluck cluck!!
|
Re: Project Gun Shy...
I like the bumper light bar rather classy.....the color scheme is outstanding!
|
Re: Project Gun Shy...
I like a lot of lights too, so if the T-bar stays, then the rest of the truck surely needs an equal amount of lights added to it in all the other places.
A bit off topics, those lenses and bezels are super nice! Are those made by Lynn? |
Re: Project Gun Shy...
Thanks guy's its looking sweet...I know Shane likes it as much as i do...Boy its hard to give it up when it turns out that good...:D:D:p..Yes Nate..Those are Lynn's lenses..He is the man...they are just awesome looking...Now i have to replace what i put in the t bar...Figure i tease Shane so he has to order from Lynn...Sorry Lynn.. Looks like more work for you...:p:p:p:eek:

Re: Project Gun Shy...
i think that the rig looks great ! But i think that the cerved bits shuld go and maybe lose
a few lights to . Other than that perfect. |
Re: Project Gun Shy...
Thanks diddy for the input . All the credit should go to John at S and P he did a great job on it and I'm very greatfull for all he's done !
|
Re: Project Gun Shy...
I think it looks perfect the way it is... Why... because it is the way YOU want it.
Every one has their opinion and some match with your ideas and some don't, be true to yourself and build it (or have it built) the way you like it. For instance I would not think of painting a truck yellow, but I like the way this truck looks and I like Brian in PA's yellow trucks, but would I have one yellow....NO. Input from other modelers is both valuable and appreciated as far as I am concerned and some of the input I have had on my build I have actually used, not because something I did was wrong but because someone else thought or saw something that I didn't think of that's what is good and useful about this forum.. ~Mike~ |
Re: Project Gun Shy...
Thanks mike for the kind words and the honesty and always your input is valued ! I'm glad your back on the fourm and can't wait to see your truck with some paint and chicken lights ????

Slick truck! Thats a nice truck all around! Great work on both parts!

Re: Project Gun Shy...
Love the light bar I would have just went with the single row of lights along the bottom. I think the other six kill it. Then again what do I know. Awsome build John again.

Re: Project Gun Shy...
I think we should give this light bar its own special name! Truck is sweet and the paint winds the clock back ! reminds me of the truck on smokey and the bandit at the very begining when the cops are busting him!
|
Re: Project Gun Shy...
