Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Holy cow Paul does every truck you build get better than the last one ? It seems to me that the tanks and the grill are a real work of art !!! This truck looks like another build of the month in the making !! Keep up the good work and if you would like to send me some tanks and one of those grills I guess I could put them on my truck you know just to help you out. Lol

Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Nice work again Paul!
The way it sits now kinda looks like one of those red, white, and blue bomb pops off of the ice cream truck lol:D |

Got the cab done and sprayed late yesterday. And went back to full sized rubber.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/003-49.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/004-49.jpg |
Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Got some parts in this week for the truck and I made a visor out of mirror stainless and I installed the headlights too. They are not the same ones as on the 1to1 but I dont like dual round so I went with dual square.
Here is the Visor-Lights and the Grill mounted.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/003-50.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/004-50.jpg Ok also got the center filler plate and lights in on and mounted.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/005-50.jpg Clean... http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/007-33.jpg Rear Plate and lights.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/006-44.jpg I put 2-3mm studs in it with flanged nut.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/006-44.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/008-36.jpg |
Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Looks Good man!! Nice idea for the recessed plate area on the rear light bar.

Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Hi paul. that white/blue cab on the red chassis really stands out like a pair of dogs balls, bloody great:D:D:D, didn't someone else do one similar to that with stars on the hood was it Mr SnP????

Sharp truck! The red really looks nice.
|
Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Hey Paul have to agree with Brian here too that the filler and rear bumper look very sharp. I like how you can't see any of the mounting hardware on them and it fits the lines of the truck so much cleaner.

Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.

the new bits fit the truck good too ;) |
Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Those stacks are sick! and the paint on the hubs looks so freaking real! Black and red are made for each other. When are you starting the grain trailer! HAHAHAH!! Tri axle with a rear lift with south dakota plates would be a sweet grain hopper!

Ok got alot done on the truck this weekend. I did not do a great job of taking picks of everything I did but if you have questions please just ask.. First off I got the strips on the truck and it was not much fun or enough room on the side of the hood but it looks good I think. You can also see I got the door handles and door hinge painted silver and I cut out of chrome tape the covers for the sleeper vents. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/001-42.jpg Also you can see the 09 on the side of the hood. I made this by photo shopping the real pick of the truck to the right size then I printed it out on foil letter labels. Then since you could not see the red real good I took my ultra fine detail brush and painted the red on the decal and after it dried I covered it with crystal clear tape and cut it out.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/002-47.jpg Next I made the IOWA plates for the truck they are the same as the 1:1 plate I used http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/ then I copyed the image and put that in photo shop and scaled it down then printed it on decal paper and covered it with crystal clear tape too. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/004-51.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/005-51.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/007-34.jpg Next the back of the cab. I put in the 7 seven sleeper lights to match the 1:1 as well as the sleeper window and visor and the WFO decal on the window "don't ask I don't know what it means" I also photo shopped that off of his facebook page. Made the visor out of Mr. PA's sweet stainless he sells and the lights are some more of Lynns handy work.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/008-37.jpg Also on the back of the cab I made the CB whip to match and a mounting bracket that is bolted to the sleeper.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/009-32.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/006-45.jpg I still have to paint the seats and dash and hammer out some alum half fenders and get the trucking Logo plus radio gear sound unit and light kit. Also I have to get the 2 grab bars mounted on the back of the sleeper but I am getting close. Also I failed to mention that the great rear light plate and center tank light plate were made to my specks by Russ so Thanks Much Russ!!.. |
Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.

Holy crap leave it to me to be a day late on seeing the progression of this truck. The truck looks great Paul and very good piece to display all those great parts by the vendors. Keep on trucking with it and the details are just unreal.

Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Little UP DATE... Been getting grief from a good buddy that is close to the truck and one of the guys that drove it about it only having 2 stripes I did not think I could fit the 1st stripe and it have the right spacing but I worked on it last night and finished tonight and it fit great and looks spot on..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/001-43.jpg |
Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.

Lookin good Paul! A true Large car!

Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Paul the truck looks so much better with the three stripes as well. I think it breaks it up a little more but still makes it flow better down the side of the truck.

Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Paul,
The workmanship and attention to detail is awsome love the fuel tanks and the extra plastic you used under the cab and sleeper. Great job can you tell me what you used to make the mount for your C.B. antena. Tony |

Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
I normally do not care for black trucks BUT this build has changed my mind  Adding the stripes is what tipped the scales. All of the custom parts make this truck a definite one of a kind show stopper:D :D
|
Re: Reiks Trucking Inc.
Way better with the third stripe! Back when it was only two, and you said you didn't have room for one more, I was going to say it looks like it would fit to me! Glad you added the third. That really makes it perfect. Nice job. It's a good looking truck now!
