Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
marcel, is there any chance that you can measure your exhaust and intake diameters on the headache rack, as i need that to model the same thing on my scania as im just a bit lost without finding good shots of the real thing online.
Thanks |

The Intake "Snorkel" is 11mm high and 16mm wide, narrows to the rear to 13,5mm. The diameter in the lower part is also 13.5mm. the Pipe to the Air Filter is 11 an 12mm in the diameter. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/6149/49131gm6.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/9753/49181jm2.jpg The mass is in Scale 1:14,5 (Wedico). I have only 2 pics for the Snorkel, one from OZ Scania (front view) and a Swiss Kenny (side view), I then converted these into the scale I do not know precisely how they are, maybe there is someone here in the forum you just give the original mass. |

|
Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
Beautiful build! Great attention to details.
|
Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
This build is really nice. Not many Wedicos around this forum, but yours is one of the best. I like the details and effort you put into making this truck turn out so great. The lights are awesome, and the trailers look really nice, even if they aren't finished yet. Keep it up.
|
Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
wow all your details are so clean. i will take notes on those tire carriers for sure, as im about to build one for my dump truck..
|
Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
love the trailers very nice indeed :)
|
Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
Still amazed with your modelling. Have you got any more information on the fabrication of those trailers? There an amazing example of modelling.
|
Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
Are you happy with the Veroma transmission and it's ratios? I'm currently building a Wedico Peterbilt with the aluminum 3 speed, dual Buhler motors and a PMD 4:1 reduction. I'm very happy with the speeds but not very happy with the transmission or the combination box, both have weaknesses.

Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
VERY NICE AND CLEAN JOB, AWESOME

Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
Thank you :)

I built the Chassie from a 2mm L-Profil with 5mm brass holder. At the Trailers front i built a 6mm aluminum plate for the Kingpin. The Wheels are from Leimbach and the landing legs are from Schulztec. http://imageshack.us/a/img219/1931/3519ch6.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img838/7459/img6129q.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img806/2709/img6125.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img233/6303/img6126p.jpg Quote:

Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
I wasn't very clear, it's the Wedico transmission I had problems with. Was thinking about using the Veroma but went with the RC Channel transmission for now. Thank you for your reply.
Keep up the build, looks great! |
Re: Scania W.A. Prime Mover 1/14.5
for the Mudguards I turned myself a suitable aluminum tube that this is in compliance with the original "plastic Mudguards". After the pipe was cut in half, there were still glued aluminum statements.
