You can get actual metal kenworth scripts from Garden trucking. They would look great on this truck. http://www.gardentrucking.com/produc...s/10171018.JPG Bottom of the page.... http://www.gardentrucking.com/produc...esort=1&max=10 Mario |

Thanks guys! I'm pretty proud of this one.
Thanks for the link Mario. Those are a bit different than what came stock on these trucks but would certainly look better than nothing. Here's a picture of what I would like to find if possible. |

Re: Kenworth 850 Off Highway
"Wow!" just is not adequate for your truck. With the paint and low-level photos, you're just missing the engine sound and truck smells to make it the real thing. A great piece of modelling!

Re: Kenworth 850 Off Highway

Re: Kenworth 850 Off Highway
I'm just going there for an eight day holiday late June, meeting up with RcLogger, tracksandtreadslou & Steamer in Commox... perhaps we make it down to check out Reg's spread if he's around. ;)
Greg mentioned something about a truck show in Duncan mid July they go to? ..too late in the summer for me to attend. |

Re: Kenworth 850 Off Highway
Thanks a lot guys!!!!!:D
I was away working for a few days but after arriving home at 11pm last night I was off first thing this morning to the post office to pick up my tires from RC4WD(right ones this time) and then into town to buy some more paint and some goodies from the hobby shop! I spent the afternoon installing some lights and buttoned up the wiring. Lots left to do but I have a few days off so expect some updates again! I would like to do a sound unit down the road but the challenge is finding a sound clip of one of these trucks with a 12V71 Detroit and an Allison Automatic. As far as the smoke generator is concerned I have given that some thought too and have room under the hood but a well tuned, fresh D.D. never smokes much. It may be a little unrealistic but would be cool none the less. The Show is put on by the Antique Truck and Historical Society, Vancouver Island Chapter. It is in Duncan BC on July 13-14. Trucker_Jo, I would love to see you there! http://www.athsvancouverislandchapter.com/ Joe, I will be offended if I'm around and you don't stop by...:p It would be great to meet another weirdo like myself...:p I couldn't resist doing a little "testing".....no loads yet though... http://youtu.be/2hSkpVtK6EU http://youtu.be/asyvwUckJPk Reg |

Re: Kenworth 850 Off Highway
What size/style bulbs do you guys run in the clearance lights? I am thinking I may want to light them up.
Thanks, Reg |

Re: Kenworth 850 Off Highway
Did some machining and painting on the trailer today. I still have a little of each to do so no pics of that yet. I did some more fiddling though today, bent up some grab handles, and stuck in a windshield with some wipers.
