(Prince and lilac) That give me an idea. I've been wanting a flatbed delivery truck and I have this Scania 4x2 just sitting around. I think I'm going to convert it using my old king hauler body. I'm going to paint it lilac and dress it up with as much chrome as possible, and name it PURPLE RAIN. I'm going to need tech help on this one.

Today I worked on the screw drive lift system. I used a geared motor, threaded rod, nut,1/2 inch copper pipe and a few 1/2 inch copper fittings.

Here's a few shots of it primed in gray. Metallic gray is what I'm going for. I don't know yet what shade of gray. But green seems to come to mind a lot.

Is it my eyes or did you change to flat panels on the sides?

I was waiting for you to ask.:D I didn't post the panel pic's cause I know you have a eye for detail and you would notice it. I'm glad you asked.:D I'm able to slide the panels in and out, so I can go flat or throw in a set of panels for a different look. I'm going to be making a few other panels, cause I must have some in green. Here's the pic of the panels.

The panel changes was a perfect mathematical ERROR:D Its not like I knew exactly what I was doing:D Basically when I was done I noticed that the panel were making some rattling noise, so I pushed on it moved I slid them out the same way I put them in. Then is when I realized that I can change these things out when I want.

Nice trailer you build yourself! And that "error" will turn out to be a great addition. Can already see lots of advantages/possibilites of it.

Thanks for the write up and posting the pictures!

Just laid down some paint on the dump body. I found the heavy gray with metallic flakes. here's hoe it looks.
