These things look pretty cool. I like the fact that they're big but the truck bodies don't look bad on them! If I could just figure out how to steal all of your tires:eek: I could build the trailers for my Kenworth...:D Just kidding about the stealing part but I do need a pile of those tires....

Ok so I played a little with the suspension on the Mini Beast and I was able to get another 1/2 of lift without even changing anything. I'm going to order bigger dual rate shocks and more aggessive tires. I'm trying to find where I can find the Iveco body for it, so far no luck locating it. I'll just keep looking I quess.

Hey Mike what type of battery or batteries are you using and also what suspension up grades did you go with. I'm looking to do a lot of up grades to my mini Beast as I like to call it. I want to put bigger shocks on it but I'll need to also change the lenght of the 4 link set-up to use bigger tires.

Hi John,
Using a 3S lipo 11 V +/- 5500mAh
But as I showed I am using a Leopard LBH3660/8T Brushless -3600kV-
Between motor and the old version Tamiya 3speed gearbox from the Bruiser I have this semi automatic transmission from Traxxas, It's more of a clutch system. But it works perfect ! (TWO SPEED W/Reverse Auto Transmission TC3 Traxxas E-max)
As a ESC I am using a 150 A with a BEC of 6V 6A
Tyres are from RC4WD : Crazy Crawlers 2.2
You can still find them in different stores or on ebay
I did cut the foam a little bit and put weights in the rims.
Furthermore a used these shocks from RC4WD Spark Comp Shock with Ti Shaft (110mm)
They make the suspension a whole lot better !
The originals are to short and to stiff.
Then I changed the punisher shafts, I am using the ones from Gmade.
Finally I changed the XVD's from the front axle.
Broke one (!!??) after my first run, but furthermore these XVD's are stronger and they allow more steering.

Hey Mike,

How are you doing ? I was hoping to hear from you , and thanks for the links and the tips for improving on the Mini Beast. There is a lot of room for improvements. The shocks are way to stiff and they tend to stick. Also when you turn the wheels full lock they rub on the suspension links ! I will be changing a lot of things on this one. I will send you pictures on the Iveco cab the only place I found it is on youtube.com . No one seems to know where I can get it ?

Thanks
John

Hello John,
I know them, the Belgium army is using them.
See them every week, since I live near the Belgium Paracommando base.
As I said, I'll keep it in mind and will search for it !

Hey Mike
I saw that right after I put the pictures up . I think they are made in Italy from what I can tell. I like the crew cab set up myself. I'll keep looking for it on my end as well.

Best Regards
John

I just finished building the new shocks and putting them on the Mini Beast. They are definitely heavy duty compared to the original ones. It raised the frame up about an inch more what a differences they made. Heres some pic's

That steering linkage might be a problem. too long of spacers. i had terrible issues with 1/3 the lenght of what you are offsetting. ended up mounting the servo on the axle despite my dislike for doing so.

I am planning to build a Beast 6x6 and use it as a transport for my axial wraith 1:10
But i am not certain that the wraith Will fit.
How much room is left behind the Man cab. Is it possible to build a flat transport deck and fit a 1:10 car?

Might be a little late, but these pics can help with mounting the servo on the axle.

Hi mate,

Just wondering how you are getting on with your beast & the search for the cab?

I just bought myself a beast and have to say that once I'd gone round & thread locked everything it is a solid rig. I've got the punisher shafts to replace but I'm now wondering about shocks. I'm leaning toward the Old Man Emu ones from RC4WD, mainly cos they look so scale but I can't find any reviews of them. Oh well keep looking!!!
