Re: cat D6T 6 way blade
Looking good Steve!
Any plans to make a wider wishbone to move tracks away from body? |
Re: cat D6T 6 way blade
Joe, the track frames will stay where they are . On the real machine the track pads are off set on the chains . I plan to mill new tracks in the future. They're designed and programmed . It's just a matter of devoting the mill time .
Finally got all the cylinder parts done  well I still need to mill the tear drop on the pins yet . Also need to move the angle cylinder bosses out on the blade :( . http://i830.photobucket.com/albums/z...psgqowjbbe.jpg http://i830.photobucket.com/albums/z...psmenoblx8.jpg http://i830.photobucket.com/albums/z...psud51bqlk.jpg http://i830.photobucket.com/albums/z...psbqlivf2s.jpg http://i830.photobucket.com/albums/z...psec7sj2zb.jpg http://i830.photobucket.com/albums/z...psxi99syqb.jpg http://i830.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps9ltsbvlo.jpg |
Re: cat D6T 6 way blade
Looks like you have put a lot of hours in this model steve, but it will be well worth it. Great job.

Re: cat D6T 6 way blade
How much offset?
Lmk when you decide to do the links, I might be interested in helping you offset your costs by getting a set. ;) |

Re: cat D6T 6 way blade
Steve-the dozer is looking good. Seems like a complicated build to me but probably not for a machinist like you. Nice work!

Re: cat D6T 6 way blade
I have a quick question for you! When soldering on the rams does that effect the internals?? I was told if u heat them up they have to be re-honned?
