Re: Daycab workhorse Pacific P510 P
There was a few Pacifics at the ATHS show in duncan so I did manage to get a few shots of the old girl sitting on a few fenders ..Both of the these trucks were carrying Log Jeeps so that was kind of cool..The owner of the Light green P9 was pretty impressed

Re: Daycab workhorse Pacific P510 P
Great photos! Can't help but notice the pride taken in the P9 Pacific. The Phillips screw heads are all matching, and perfectly aligned! That's a good looking truck.

Thanks Paul ..really enjoyed this build and following yours as well..On the weekend I met up with a fella that worked for pacific building the preloaders..This guy knew his stuff ...he instantly recognised it as a 510P and was pretty impressed ...we pointed out a few things that were off though ..Still a few things I want to add and finish though ..Thanks again and cheers

Re: Daycab workhorse Pacific P510 P
This is one of those trucks that if you showed it to somebody new to the hobby, parked along side a stock King Hauler they would probably never guess the two were related.
|
Re: Daycab workhorse Pacific P510 P
Lou do you have any photos of your two rigs together? Love your work.

Re: Daycab workhorse Pacific P510 P
Nice job! It's always cool to see something different!

Re: Daycab workhorse Pacific P510 P
I think it's a shelf queen boys. I've been to several shows with Lou and this truck is always there but it never moves. Maybe he thinks it's too pretty to work?:p
|
Re: Daycab workhorse Pacific P510 P
Well might be a queen, but its down right nice build. Looks like it got dirty hauling logs by the one picture.
On another note, is there RC shows on the mainland at any time? Would love to go to one. |

Lou I have a question about this truck, assume it was modelled after a real truck. Was there a reason for the dual air cleaners and dual exhaust pipes on the curb side? Jim |

I was just ribbing Lou a little about the P510 being a shelf queen. I have seen it loaded with logs but only when parked. The last couple of shows we were at I believe it was having some radio issues and that's why it didn't get used. No shows that we know of on the mainland. The next one we will attend will likely be in July at the Forest Discovery Center in Duncan BC. |
