I think the only detail missing with most of your projects is a company name. ;)

Yeah, the issue with a company name would mean I'd have to keep them. Lol. This one I think will get one on it soon.

Steve, sorry. It was Grainger not McMaster.

Left spring is 3HPF9
Right spring is 3HPC4

I gave not tried them yet to be sure the tension is correct as I am waiting for the tarp. Hope that helps.

I'm thinking, once you get the loader in the proper colors , perhaps this might be a " keeper combo" ? :D:lol:;).
Hmmm, I seem to remember asking you about keeping or parting before

Amazing work and beautiful truck Keith.

Thanks Ed, I used bathing suit material from JoAnns fabrics. It stretches just a bit, can get wet and they ends won't Frey when cut so no need for hems.

Looks great with all the extra details. I really like the way you captured the look of a old DM Mack. Hope your diffs are locked in because that truck should go thru anything looking that tuff and all.

Truck is bad ***. Would be even cooler with a plow hanging on the front like the old dump trucks that ran around NYC. I could totally see the truck pushing some snow

Thanks Erick, not a bad idea! I may have to look into that.

Re: Mack DM800 Dump

A snowplow would be cool, but you would have to go all in and build one with the wing plow and salt spreader. Maybe even make it so you actually use it for that purpose.

I don't know, that maybe another build down the road. Don't see to many wing plows in NYC, but a highway truck would be cool. Maybe a Ford 8000 NYS thruway truck. Hmmmm.

Re: Mack DM800 Dump

A plow would be quite fitting for this truck. Seams every big township on the east coast had a large mack plow truck. I had a job about 15 years ago driving a RD mack with a plow. Never did find a drift that stopped it. Load up that box full with sand and keep your foot in it. That maxidyne pushed harder the more she lugged down on the RPMs. Ahhh...Good times back then!

I want to construct a removable highway plow for my green Mack 6 wheeler. With a full box of sand it can drive thru some snow. It would have to be made with a heavy blade so it can maintain contact with the road.

OK, after looking at a few pics on the web, I've decided that I'll do a plow for her. Nothing fancy but functional. I'll go for something like this that can clip or easily be mounted to my existing bumper and frame.

This style frame

And this style blade.

Or maybe this.

The plow will look great. Then all you need is a guy next to it leaning on a shovel and it will be a true state job.

Can't wait to see how you make the plow.

Hi, I am glad to see that you have decided to build/install a plow for that bad boy. I love plows. I have installed them on several of my vehicles/machines. On youtube I am mbrinc10. I don't recall seeing any plows on your other vehicles. Besides buckets on machines, blades on dozers, and your Blizzard SR, do you have any snow plows that we have not seen? Well if this is the first I am sure it will be nice. I am interested to see how you will raise/lower the plow and angle left to right. I know some of those older truck/plow setups did not even angle, they just lifted up and down.

Thanks Chris, yeah I'll have to talk to Brian and get him to print me a stander with a shovel. Lol.

That's basically what I'm going to go for so I can remove it easily.

Thanks Eddie, I have a SCX10 with a plow on it. This will be my first semi with a plow. Definitely going to do the up and down with a small linear actuator. The tilt I'll have to work on something, maybe a worm gear or something. I want it to work right but I don't want to compromise looks for function. I'll get it somehow, lol.
