Re: Bill Signs trucking truck...not excactly...

OK boy's and girl's, I did a little more last night. I added the top strips to the tail end. Just a little body filler, and then primer to see where i'm at.
I think the next step is to build the dolly. I'm, thinking tri-axle, we'll see...

Thank you eurocharged, but I don't have that many skills. I just try to plan before I go for it. And you know the ol' saying...measure twice, cut once lol.
Believe it or not, there was a time I was so afraid, I wouldn't even think of trying to cut a body or do anything that was different.
The key to it all, is to take your time and have fun.:D:):p;)

Here are a few pic's of the dolly i've been working on. Do you think it would look good if I made a tail end for the dolly as I did on the truck?

Re: Bill Signs trucking truck...not excactly...

Well I finally got the suspension on. When I made the strips for the rear of the frame, I didn't make them as wide as the truck's because of the fifth wheel plate i'm useing. Just thought it would look better. I want any opinions you may have about the tri-axle fenders...yes or no:confused:, I like it either way.

Well I started back on the cab with more body work. I got the back wall cut out for the insert, and made the pieces that go right behind the hood on the bottom of the cab.
Now a question. What could I use for the gasket around the insert and the back window?

Re: Bill Signs trucking truck...not excactly...

It's been a little while since I posted anything on this truck, so here it goes.:p
Since I modified knight hauler boxes between the rear fenders, I figured I would mod a couple more into a different style of peterbilt box/step combo. And if I have enough material, i'm thinking on replacing the steps on the fuel tanks.
Here are some pic's of what i'm shooting for. Let me know what you think.

Thank you Ruffazz Express:) I'm needing some more of Russ's air ride suspension, and it's driving me crazy because I can't hit him up right now.:(

Re: Bill Signs trucking truck...not excactly...

So heres a thought on a trailer... what about a polished aluminum flatbed maybe with some paint accents in there to match the truck, and then between the spread axle on the trailer a toolbox like the ones on the rig. Just a thought, take it or leave it. If only you had a good flatbed trailer. Lmao!
