Re: First Build - King Hauler
well I jinxed myself by saying the body work was almost done.... I guess after I put this on I'll need to fill the holes in the roof!

Re: First Build - King Hauler
That's a lot of lights! I like lights. As for chrome vs paint depends in what else will be chrome. I like chrome but not overkill chrome.. Hard to say

Re: First Build - King Hauler
My first instinct would be to say paint it. When I look at it I think of Younggunz black Pete or John's roll off Pete. Both nice examples of painted visors and with the lights I think would look wicked:cool:

Nice looking rig, Goose! I'm building a KH just like this one. How did you make the styrene boxes to house the headlights, and the buckets themselves? Thanks.

Hey alan love the paint scheme....you know just by looking at the paint design already know its Kenworth

Re: First Build - King Hauler
The paint looks great. The masking really gave you some clean lines. What kind of tape did you use? I always seem to have problems with clean lines and bleed through. I had the best luck with Pactra masking tape!

Re: First Build - King Hauler
well, got a coat of clear on it, and some assembly done. will need to "tint" the windows, i thought they would be darker. i have a grill made but i need to get a new moisture trap for my compressor/airbrush before i can spray the chrome paint.
enjoy! http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/...2-29124606.jpg http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/...2-29124614.jpg http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/...2-29124622.jpg http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/...2-29124651.jpg |

thanks! i actually used automotive pinstriping to mask the lines, i find 1/8 is the best for curves/bends. also then you put masking tape over the pinstriping to cover a larger area, make sure you pull the pinstriping before the paint is too dry, leaves a nice clean line! |
Re: First Build - King Hauler
This truck is sharp.:D:D:D The paint is a work of art, be proud.:):D:cool:
