Re: My Stretched globeliner
Ok cab is pretty much closed for good now well at least i dont need to access it anymore.. I relocated the battery again to the frame rails and moved the switches for the MFU. My speaker idea didnt pan out as i kept blowing speakers so that is a little dissapointing, so i resoldered the original speaker back in. I also started the light box to hide the rack mount.
used the face for a template on the floor http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...624_154329.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...624_154507.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...624_170741.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...624_170745.jpg I can access all controls of the mfu and its completely hidden. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...624_170753.jpg Heres what i have come up with so far as i was explaining before http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...625_003921.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...625_010056.jpg I still need to try to hinge it and add lights to it but it will deff hide the mount the way i thought it would Thanks for looking!! |
Re: My Stretched globeliner
looks good, a few red lights back there would set it off

Re: My Stretched globeliner
Aaron, i like the idea of hiding the control panel. Functional, yet clean looking. And I like the box w/ the led's. Great job.:D:D:D

Re: My Stretched globeliner
This week has been great so far with parts coming in :D:D Got my new bumper and bezels in! Russ and Lynn big Thank you!!! Awesome work guys!!
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...709_200947.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...709_201008.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...709_201050.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...709_201108.jpg I love it!!! Now i just gotta light it up. Now im wondering if i could just cut the old fog lights off the leads and series in the 8 2v LEDs i need? i added 2 to the brake lights with no ill effect.. maybe through in a 56ohm resister or 2? My lowboy is 5 sets of 4 led/1 56ohm resistors in a series... Still need to order the new pipes, visor, and wait for one more custom part and it should be pretty much done minus new paint scheme. Anyways thanks for looking THANKS AGAIN RUSS AND LYNN!! |
Re: My Stretched globeliner

And the new bumper has lights!! May change how its ran i ran 2 series of 4, 2v 20ma leds each series with a 56ohm resistor on the negative side and hooked it up to the old fog light wires... may split it to only 4 lights on a plug using the extra light plug.. not sure yet any thoughts from the other with more lights then this?? How did you do it properly? wasnt happy with the last set of pics i posted so here are some new ones outside and then with the lights working :) http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...711_200357.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...711_200432.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...711_200523.jpg with new lights http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...711_233022.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...711_232902.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...711_232849.jpg Thanks for looking!! |

Re: My Stretched globeliner
Wow, I was never a real big fan of the globe liners until I started watching this build. I really like the new front bumper with the extra lights on it. This whole truck has come together very well. I think my next project will be a globe now.
