Re: bigfords trucks

Great looking trucks, did you make your own low-boy trailer's? If not who made them? Do you know if they are still available?

Thank you,

bigford 11-09-2015 09:18 PM

Re: bigfords trucks

the blue lowboy was built by brian from exclusive rc. he is
in the vendor section.
the silver one is from rc4wd there on the net

Re: bigfords trucks

Tank you for the response. Were you able to 93rd the gooseneck on the trailer from rc4we? Or do you just manually latch it up?

Thank you,

Sorry for the miss-spellings in the previous post. It should have read as follows:

Thank you for the response. Were you able to automate the gooseneck on the trailer from RC4WD? Or do you just manually latch it up?

Thank you,

Hi, Nice rig. I was wondering where you got that diamond plate decking and those 45* straight pipes. I have been looking for that exact stuff. Thanks

Will you be getting any photos of it with the 1:1? It, as with anything Reg builds looks good on your truck.

Re: bigfords trucks

messing around with some ebay Chinese diamond plate.
its a little large

http://i1335.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5kxifxdw.png

also thinking about how to get the high lift to work?? there might be enough room
for some actuators

RCP57 02-11-2016 09:32 PM

Re: bigfords trucks

These little guys might work but I think they would even be a tight squeeze without butchering things. I got two of them recently for something else but haven't used them yet.

I like the diamond plate. Supplier????

i was thinking hytec mini servos hs-85mg. they have
49oz of torque each. with long pushrods but the gate

Re: bigfords trucks

after some messing around on google " for how do lift axles work"
I came up with this

Re: bigfords trucks

Cheeky...lol

What is this "Google" you speak of?

TRUCKMAKER 02-13-2016 11:58 AM

Re: bigfords trucks

Looks good Bigford, what do you do to your lift axle to allow it to still float over bumps when it's in the down position?

bigford 02-13-2016 12:12 PM

Re: bigfords trucks

I used heavy thread for sewing leather. passed it through the servo arm
then around the mounts on the Tamiya steering axle free float when down strong
enough to hold the axle up
