Thanks for the comments, was able to get some more building time. Added the motors.

Ben it is going to be a CAT D8 straight blade. Not a swing blade like the one I have now..

Greg- Nice. Will you have hydro's too or is everything gonna be electric? What drive motors are you using?

Greg, I thought you were going to build the dozer/skidder combo unit? So are you going to have two D8 dozers in your fleet now?

Going with hyd again Ben. Using the same motors as the D8 I have http://servocity.com/html/dayton_gear_motors__12v_.html

I would like to build the CAT 527 track skidder but it would sure be tight for room running on hyd's. Maybe next winter...;) So for now I think there is room for another D8.

It will weigh in between 25 and 30 pounds, all alunimum. Can add weight to the belly pad if a person wanted more weight..:D

Lou and Rob stopped by today. Lou brought some iron with him so I shot some video while Rob drove truck and Lou ran the juicer .

Thanks greg ...you are getting to be a pretty good video producer...Thanks for editing all my rookie operating ...im gona have to practice in my garage this winter...Ben, greg did give it a shot but i like to run my controls opposit so he didnt feel that comfortable yet..Think with about a half hour practice he would be chuckin loads on pretty fast.

Greg, that's some nice shooting, considering how cold it was.;) Lou, that John Deere is a fine running machine and you should be very proud of your new baby. Sure did enjoy running the Pacific, it's a fun truck to drive and a beast when you got a load on her. To bad there's no vid of me putting her in the ditch at the end.:D:D
