Even just the build process will be a great experience.

Its an journey in it self, i enjoyed it alot! :)

Got the bucket back, it turned out really good i think, its a little larger then the original bucket, mostly its a little longer, the tooths are maybe a tad large but i think it looks pretty proportional.

Now im eager to get out doing some digging but its still to cold so im going to send all my working tools for powdercoating when i get them back i hope its warmer and i can get out making some videos! :)

Here is some pics...

That looks fantastic Kalle!

No doubt it'll be great for digging & better yet scooping rocks!

I can put it to use right away, send it to me & then make another for yourself. ;) :p :D

I've got all the pieces for another mass GP bucket for a partial trade with you... no doubt your friend will do a finer job of tig 'ing it all together. ;)

Hi, Its Eddie. I was talking to you on youtube about the quick coupler.
I was contacting you to ask about the extra hydraulic solid tubing that you installed. I read a thread where you said that you used 4 x 0.5 brass tubing. I am going to add an extra valve and the hydraulic lines to my Vario 850D in a similar way to yours.
So you soldered the tubing to the fittings?
Did you also build the small squared blocks that are connected to the brass tubing?
Also, did you build the small squared pieced that hold the solid tubing to the boom?
It is very nice how you set up yours.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Thanks,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

Yes, 4x0,5mm tubing was used, i have made my own fittings to fit the connectors then soldered them, i think there are pics of it in my thread.

Also the square ones are made by me as well, also the holders for the tubes.

Have a look back in my thread and you might see what i did.

Today i started on a handrail that goes around the cab door, it also holds the rear view side mirror, just need to paint it and bolt it on once i get the screws.

Looking good Kallie..Sure looks like the reall machine ..Now if you had Boot mud on the travel pedals and floor I would be hard to tell ..lol ..Great job on the bucket ..Kindof reminds me of this one here http://leattach.com/multiripperhicapbucket.htm

Re: Azonic Hitachi 470/Bell B50D

The bucket reminds me of a reptile (lizard). It would be tempting not to paint it. To leave it just as it is because it looks so cool. Let me know if you make anymore and I will buy one from you for one of my Vario excavators. I have the 850D and the 450D. Most of the parts that you make would work for mine. So let me know if you have any extra or if you are making extra parts.
The railing is a very nice touch. You have done a nice job with your custom parts to make the machine even more realistic. I love these excavators, but they definitely need the scale parts and other things like you are doing to make them just a little nicer or else they are a little plain
Thanks,
Eddie

Thx! Haha! Yes i just may have to add that when the snow melts, i will use real mud, just for the scale of it! :)

Yeah, those are crazy buckets, mine isnt that agressive, my is just a regular Swedish made rock bucket, that one is for ripping i guess.

Yes i really like it in the raw style as well, but i will paint it, as all of my other attachments, i want to do the wear on the buckets myself, by using them! :)

I will probably make more of these buckets, when i do i will let you know!

You have both the 850 AND the 450?? :)

rc13 03-22-2013 07:07 AM

Re: Azonic Hitachi 470/Bell B50D

Hello, Yes I have both of them.
Yes it would be different not to paint a bucket, when all of your attachments are painted and match. So I would paint it too.
Thanks for keeping me in mind when you make another one.
Eddie

Yes, it will look good with all attachments painted!

I really got my build motivation back and its a lot of fun! :)

I started on the catwalk/sidewalk today, didnt have enough material at home so i need to go to the hardware store tomorrow to pick up the last pieces i need.

Also did paint the handrailing today turned out really good i think.
