Well I got everything cleaned up and mounted the hinges and doors...and I wasn't happy.:( There was a lot of gap in some areas.

So I decided to make two new doors with a mod to the windows.:) There are still some gaps, but not quite as much.;) I'm hoping when I get the door stops installed, primer and paint layed down, it will be down to a minimum.:D

Autocar, I thought the same thing, and i'm not planning on sound, maybe some music...just about led's. So if I was to do the cab and sleeper, YES, that would be different. I'll see which way the wind blows.:D:D:D

Re: "KISS" theme truck

On the bunk detail John, you could always build the bunk interior straight on to the bunk floor plan, so that when you lift off the cab, the bunk interior is left bolted to the frame rails. If you can picture the bunk interior only being half the height of the actual sleeper, you could in fact, make a box, or roof over the interior so that you can fit the electronics on top of the bunk, but it will be all housed and hidden in the upper portion of the sleeper but you can easily access it by lifting off the cab. You can then have a detailed bunk interior and opening door and still have full MFU if you like.

Hope that makes sense, if not, I can scan a sketch and email it to you.

You can always stick a small MP3 player in the trailer, that will have a ton of space there.

Well SWAGGER you're at it again I see...1,000,000,1 ideas coming at me, lol.
You have great ideas, and if I do decide to open the sleeper doors, the ideas you gave would work perfectly.:D:D:D
I keep forgetting to tell you, my last name is Merrell, and I was told the Merrell's originaly from Ierland.:) Small world, isn't it.;)
I'm going to try something totally throwed off on the mirrors, and if I can make it work, i'll post pic's...To be continued...

Re: "KISS" theme truck

Well as promised, I tinkerd with the mirrors and I think they came out pretty good.:) Last night I had a brain storm and thought about using some more chain for the mirror mounts. So you all remember I made Ace Frehley's space eye makeup on the wipers? Well I did Peter Criss's catman eye makeup for the mirrors themseleves. Let me know what you think.:)

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/100_0251.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/100_0252.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/100_0256.jpg

Now i'm wanting to cut out a star from Paul Stanley's eye makeup on the passenger spot window just to give a different look. Any idea's on an easy way of doing this???

Thanx for looking, Big John

Yeah Ha....I have lots of ideas and the problem I have is that I can't actually build myself for quite some time. I have no workshop, no time (always travelling with work) and very, very little funding due to property investments that have gone sour, so I have to enjoy this hobby through you guys and your projects. So forgive me for bouncing ideas around, but it helps me feel a little more involved in the hobby than I actually am right now.

I love the mirrors BTW, fit in great with the wipers. If you manage to squeeze in something that reflects each band members face as such, it will work very well overall.

I had previously come across a project on another forum that is on the same path as what I mentioned above. I'll try find it again and get you some reference pics.

That's cool about your family name. Yes it is a small world. Seems quite a lot of Americans are of Irish decent if you look back far enough. We are known for going to the far corners of the earth. Little fact for you, the population of Ireland is only 4.5 million, but there are 25 million Irish passports OUTSIDE of Ireland. Just shows, there are much more of us living abroad than at home!

Looks like I will be in St. Louis / Chicago for a week in Sept. It's a work thing and still be defined, but I am hoping there will be a truck meet somewhere nearby around that time. Would be great to meet some of you guys and see some of the projects in the flesh.

This is a standard Knight cab, you have SO much more room with your super cab, so you can build over your electronics like this OR you can create a bunk room and put your electronics in a hidden compartment at the very back.

It would be great if we could get together, and I would love to meet the man behind these great ideas.:);):p

Cool, can't help you with the little calendar though, sorry! LOL!

Well, actually, couple of mins of messing about and I managed to make a Kiss calendar for ya. I think I have it to the right scale, but you will need to PM me your email address so I can email the JPEG to you.
Best print on photo paper for longevity and UV protection etc, otherwise it would fade over time. If you don't have photo paper, I could print it and post it to you.

Looks cool John. Will you be leaving it open or putting some glass behind it? Then it would be like the Pete style "foot" window but with the Kiss twist.
