Thanks Stuart. Well I have busted both so that's not good but I think I have things sorted now. The converted servos are easier to mount in the machine but require more fiddling to attach the sprocket. I think the gear motors are smoother in operation but are more difficult to fit into the machine because of their width. I have one more experiment to try with dozer #3 but both 1 & 2 seem to be working OK.

Thanks Mike. Yes I think it pushed a respectable amount for a small machine.

Thanks Ian!

Today's update. I added the cutting edge to the blade and started work on the open D6H style cab. I have raised the height and added width to the cab in an attempt to make it more to scale for a D6. I still have a bit more to sort out and then I will mount some grab handles and such.

Keith, I know you were totally in love with the stock exhaust pipe but I had to change it...Sorry:rolleyes:

I finished up the cab details yesterday on the D6H. I think it is ready to have the remaining bare parts painted.

Re: 4 Hour Bruder Dozer

Depending how they are outfitted with aluminum parts, I'm looking to get $1300-$1500 Canadian for them. Either way that would include everything short of a battery and TX/RX. Actually if an Orange RX receiver is compatible with the customers TX, I would include that too. I guess I could sell them with the TX/RX but it would obviously cost more.

If we start talking about these kind of details on the open forum, maybe this should be moved to my vendors section? If any mods see fit to do so please go ahead!

Yeah Brian! It needs a scaled up seat and some other details. You are just the right man for the job! It will definitely be the sweetest Bruder conversion out there(my biased opinion:D). You may need to make more than one set...

Sounds good Bo. I am still waiting on some parts for #3. #2 needs to go before #3 gets it's electronics.lol Gear motors for it should be here soon though. Santa has them on early delivery from China:lol:.

Re: 4 Hour Bruder Dozer

No sign of the Chinese Santa yet but this one is nearing completion.

I just assembled it this morning so I need to go over it and brush paint a few nuts and bolts. I also made a drawbar for it but the paint needs another day to dry before I install it. I think it turned out pretty good although I wish I was a better painter.

http://youtu.be/b94Ve-jpaQc The light is not the best in this vid so the color doesn't show up very well.

These pictures do it more justice!

Dang reg!! For a four hour conversion you have out done yourself:). Looks awesome!! I wish Santa would make a trip to Vancouver island and pick me up one of them, but he may be overweight with my bag of coal!!!! This has turned out incredible. And the videos look smooth and pretty powerful. I think you put all the right parts in all the right places. Good job man!!

I want to know how they slow down time on the island because if that is 4 hours that would be 3 weeks for me on the mainland ! Mike
