Re: Great Dane excavating co.
Sounds like a toy hauler with a ramp and a motorcycle type lift you can drive it up on and then hydraulically raise it up to work on it.;)

Re: Great Dane excavating co.
Milestone Sir RW :) Congrats
|
Re: Great Dane excavating co.
you better buy a set of pick up truck bed ramps so you can drive the equipment
in and out of the 1:1 stuff |

Re: Great Dane excavating co.
I got an idea........When you're done with the cat and bored out of you're mind......You start building a crane.......No more back pain and you can load and un load my box girders at Cabin Fever Please
I like you're Build Project a lot o master  |
Re: Great Dane excavating co.
Just a pic of axle/wheel
http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psuwmozuqh.jpg And reworked the drive dogs on account of the previous &$&$-up!! This is how I made them, the one is old one. http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psdyrqu9ot.jpg http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8qsc1x78.jpg http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...pszw8wh03u.jpg The chicken wings I ate are not helping the build process right now :(. Too hot going in and rumbling in stomach. And gonna be hot,,, well later |

Lol!! I may have to invest in one of those pickup truck cranes!!! |
Re: Great Dane excavating co.
Sounds like you might have to invest in some tickets first... sh!t tickets that is... Bad chicken wings:cop::cop::cop:

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psbwuy9cfr.jpg http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psomq4le4r.jpg Trying to keep with the actual mechanics and engineering of the 1:1 machine. This is the center brace all the wheel power gets sent to. http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...pspzked2i1.jpg So I figure it better be strong. Hard part is trying to find the exact mounting points as the driveshaft also passes through the top portion. Still in the chunky phase,, http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psbqtmbr45.jpg http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psxd9yaso0.jpg http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psspaqdknl.jpg And in order to get the back axle to articulate some I had to use the ball joint rod end. Some play in shock pins will allow movement but hopefully restrict too much. Guess I will find out when an uneven load is piled in bed. |

The marker area is where I have to cut a little more for driveshaft to pass when suspension is fully unloaded. I was wanting to have a roller by cabin fever but front end is going to take a bit of planning and time. And with the way drive system is I wanted to have motor as low as possible but may have big battery in lowest part. Don't know if battery is heavier than that big motor:). |
Re: Great Dane excavating co.
Started loading car for cabin fever event and found an early stowaway!!!!
http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psau5pnmzy.jpg And a last min oil check as front blade lift cylinders have began to seep a bit of oil http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/...psrgkhkr6a.jpg |
