well lucky for me :) there's nothing wrong with the mill now I just need phase conversion for the spindle :) turns out I forgot a wire when separating the control from the power switch for the whole machine . :o

Re: 2 IH 433 payscrapers (ps433-2 moves)

I'm wrapping up my highway truck building and coming back to my construction equip. :) . after sometime on pondering this build ,I decided to change the motors ( to slow ) When I got the motors , I over looked the output speed of the motor being reduced by the differentials :( . since I'm taking the motor I was going to use in the TD40B I need replacements :) these are the right size to go side by side and got plenty of room to play with gears ratios and multi-speed trans. :) Also I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the hydros .

I put this back on the bench after I saw Steve do a motor swap on his tunarocker ;) I had 2 motor siting around with double the speed as the original , so did a motor swap and Stevie is a happy camper :D I was going to try to get it going for cabin fever and supprise everyone but As always not enough time to do both pan and mack :( we'll see how it goes though

I needed this to get some details figured out in the gooseneck area and the steering . Looks like I'll be needing to remake the gooseneck to get the steering right :(

now I know what was under all that dust in the corner

I started on remaking the gooseneck . The block in the vise is 5"x3.5" x 24" still need to finish the top and flip and cut the underside out .

I was getting worried about you! I thought you were too busy making money and forgot that you have to build yourself some stuff to keep it fun:rolleyes:. All joking aside, I'm happy to see you milling some parts again for one of your many projects! It's not the same around here when we don't have your "updates" to look at.

More setup pics, finished part - the welding , and comparison pics

first is setup to face the outside . I don't have a sine plate so a lil improvising ;) the facing was done manually no need to waist time programing that  I did a lot of setups do to what I had in long (lack of ) length end mills :(

I love watching parts being machined. The new neck looks great, and I like those models too. First Gear replicas?

Nice work steve-your old part probably looks more like the real thing from the old days :D. CNC makes a nice part though.

yea eventually :( other things been taking precedence :( . Which can be good and bad at the same time . room is a big issue on these :( I want to do the trans and diff arrangements but where to put the rest of the components  Gear motor axles are looking more practical :(
