I hope so Henry :) I'm trying to decide full u or semi u  The full U is 16" wide whereas , the semi is 14.9" wide .

pics of a real semi-U

Unkie Tom's will be for sale soon, but freight is a major buzz kill!
Can you hook your Mill's "brain" up to uninteruptable power supply/batttey back up?
I'm wondering if power quality issues are causing "glitches"?
Like the progress!
Cheer's, Neil.

i think i would go with a semi u cuz then you have more options like root rakes and things of that nature a full u blade is limited in my opinion you can always build a full u blade later either way you go it will be an awsome build

Hmm, no scraper push plate welded in the center of that blade? Or is that just a Cat thing?

Ahh, more great looking machined aluminum parts, Steve! That's some really nice work! The grille surround looks really nice. Most aren't going to notice it, but what happened to the last 'R'? Don't worry about it! It's still 1,000 times better then I could ever whittle out of aluminum!

thanks Nate . I have less then perfect utility power to run this mill :( It's converted from 3 phase at the motor drive in the mill . I did some thinking on why it does this , I believe it happens when my air compressor kicks on . which draws down on my messily 200 amp service :( . I think a service upgrade is in the future along with a real phase converter . I know which 1 I want but $$$$ .

Henry , most likely a semi U they're more versatile .

Neil , I only read of 1 co in south Carolina that uses them to push some wabco scrapers .We had it on our TD 12 .

Wabco? Aren't they old school? Lol! I like the old stuff.
Does your mill require air to operate? How about a bigger storage tank?

I ran one wabco scraper/ paddle wheel once it was weird cuz you set on top of the hood in the middle but it was a good lil 9/10 yard scraper and quick had a v 8 cummins in it with cherry bombs lol

I never been on a scraper :( or anything bigger then a 318 cat and 220 komatsu and TD25 . I would love to get on some of the bigger iron :D that wabco would be a cool build , Henry ;)

I got the arms done reedy for the swivel bearings when they get here . I started on the track adjusters ;) . Now I wish I had a manual BP or a horizontal :( . OH well use what I got  . a lil surprise coming up on these adjusters ;)

nice work now on the back blocks are you gonna make trunion balls or just make a straight end with a cap? so the arms don't slide off?

I got some coming . I hope they work . They're like the inside of rod ends . 2 will be pressed in the front hole . The back 1's will get modified a lil . So it'll look and work like the trunion . I got the 2x25 on order too :D .

Those arms look really nice, Steve. You are an animal on the mill and with your programming. Really nice work!

Looking really great. Do I see hydraulic or grease track adjusters in the future?
