Re: D11 New Project
Hi Guys, the club had a show day today and I took the dozer out for a run. Only had time to hook up the lift cylinders. It performed well and picked up 2nd place for peoples choice. Still a work in progress.:)

Re: D11 New Project
What got first place? I can't see anything being more detailed or better engineered than your dozer(s). On the other hand peoples choice is always a weird thing to figure out even at car shows:confused:.
It's really great to see it functioning and being so close to complete. You and your team must be so proud! |
Re: D11 New Project
Agreed!! I'm still working on getting sound on mine, I love how your dozer sounds!!
|
Re: D11 New Project
Get her done!! Lol!! Hope that video helps, it took me a bit of programming to get it down. But once I had a better understanding of radio mixing it all became very simple and easy to comprehend. Just a lot of "oh sh&$@" and "dam how did I do that" lol!!

Re: D11 New Project
Thanks for the link to your video, it's hard at the moment as work is taking a lot of my free time. Most times the work on the dozer happens on the weekend and for the next two weekends I will be away with work living the dream in a mining camp. Did you get an 8 ch receiver with your transmitter or 9?

Re: D11 New Project
:update: People have asked how much it weighs, so I put it on the scales.

Re: D11 New Project
Cool...
Not as heavy as I thought it might be(40-50kgs)... Should fit well on most trailers... Cheers, AP |
Re: D11 New Project
That's pretty chunky for aluminum and not too too heavy to pack around.
All 3 finished by Xmas? :D |
Re: D11 New Project
75-80 pounds / 28-30 kg is right around what my d11 weighs in at. And yea it's portable but not fun portaging!!! 135 pounds /50kg would be brutal to be moving. Got that radio programmed yet? Just think how much fun it is learning something new :). (Yea being a smarta$$). Building is fun radio stuff is work!!

Re: D11 New Project

Re: D11 New Project
I doubt it Joe, At the end of June we have a three day show. Perth Truck and Trailer Show, this is for full size machines and it comes around biannually. Our club puts on a display there and this is the target date, hopefully all three.;)

Ok, so its been a while. This week some paint is added to number 3.
We have a show in 6 weeks and hope to have it ready for that :confused: http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...psmsr4hwda.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8dqj6lxz.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5gsxjkhw.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...psw0hy4ipb.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...ps71itmf5e.jpg Thanks for looking Paul |

WOW!!! not much more needed to be done till they get dirty!!!

Re: D11 New Project
Amazing work ,
Do you have any issues with the blade lift trunions? I know on the 1:1 machines the lift cyl trunion carriers are spiggoted into the nose cone and this allows them to turn when the blade is run out of level . Does it want to twist ? Inspiring stuff Titandigs :) |
Re: D11 New Project
AWESOME build!! Keep us posted.

Re: D11 New Project
This weekend has seen some more work on the Dozer, now assembled. Plumbing and electrical are next.
It really needs the decals to break up the yellow. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...psdw4ot6bq.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...psdggos2nl.jpg Thanks for looking Paul |
