Gave this one a try

I didn't make an account, just uploaded pics & then grabbed the links to post here. Seems simple enough.

Wow, and wow.. that dozer blade is a work of art. If this can help on your next assembly, I just saw something about baking soda can be sprinkled on loctite 495 and it will instantly cure. Haven't tried myself and not sure which glue he sent you but it needs to be a cyanoacrylate to work with the BS. Using small layers of glue and bs is supposed to be much stronger than just the glue alone... Good for filling gaps n such.

That new trailer is awesome Joe! What are the dimensions of the box? How are your crops? All of our wheat had Mosaic, so we had 30-40% yield, and ugly shriveled kernels.

Re: LilGiantsConstrCo

Thanx for the tip Jason

Thanx Parker. Trl dimensions... I think it's about 9"x14"... it'll hold a 5ga pail of dirt ;)

The past month occasionally been screening lumps from the basement pile, moved a couple of cubes by now. What a difference making the screener cage from aluminum, 5-6lbs less hanging out on the end of the boom, can really load 'er up & not tip over the hoe. :)

Track trouble, 2mm pin shear on one side & good thing it happened b/c I discovered 2mm pin on other side slid out of place& was carving into gear case

Added 5" cheater boards to the cross dump today. Surprisingly stable, I thought it would wobble from being top heavy... maxxing out the 8wd power to ascend the dirt ramp, lead axle spinning while the other 3 are flexing sidewalls to the max, doesn't show up clearly in the vid... Parker, the dimensions of the box are 19"x9,5".

Those are some serious hungry boards.

Re: LilGiantsConstrCo

The screener bucket is really neat, glad you got it working better now.

Wow, so the belly dump with the cheater boards is now holding like 10 gallons of dirt in a load?

Lil Giants 09-18-2017 02:50 PM

Re: LilGiantsConstrCo

Screener bucket has been working very well! No, wouldn't be 10us ga... 8,5 - maybe 9, albeit the cheaters are the same height as the main trl sides, there's the capacity of the hoppers & the peak above the trl that is not doubled.

Hauling out back of shop... sunny & 22, not many of these great days left before that ugly white stuff shows up again.

I was so engrossed in watching as you loaded that when you pulled away and the trailer started to slide in the fines I let out a gasp thinking the whole thing was going over.
Didn’t you have that set up as a set of doubles? Sounds like live stock in the back ground, thought you got rid of your livestock.

Re: LilGiantsConstrCo

I'm very impressed too Kent with the trl's stability, such a high center of gravity doesn't fizz on it much at all. The axles width is 11,5". That was the original plan, doubles - maybe even triples, but the current length of this trl is 33 inches makes a wide corner.

I sold my herd in Dec 2011, those are my neighbor's cows, close to 300 in the corral, just brought them over late afternoon, lock them up over night so they all find the only water source, turned them out this morning on 700ac durum stubble... my patchy germination was the worse in this field, it's the heavist land (gumbo) on the farm, what germinated later was shallow rooted, fell flat on the ground when it ripened too low for the combine to get it. Providing it doesn't get too cold too soon there's lots there to keep the cows fed for a couple months.

Moved out about 2/3 of a cube last night & this morning, about 2hrs total time

Hauled out a few tons of dirt today!

https://s25.postimg.cc/aex4lbgin/002.jpg

Just got this sliver of fines to do tomorrow

https://s25.postimg.cc/672cc3wy7/003.jpg

And this pile of crush... big weather change come Sunday & they're forecasting snow for Monday - Tuesday

https://s25.postimg.cc/s68qzc0xr/004.jpg

Get all this dirt out & then have a couple hrs of trimming to do with the dozer... STEVEY! when are you gonna start on them tracks for my dozers?!

I was just going to text you about them . I've got some test prints coming then to to get a quote on precision casting verses my machining time . My machining will not have the detail of the bolts in them . I'm aiming to make the tracks last practically forever and you just replace the pins as they wear .

Hauled a lot of dirt out of the basement last couple months

https://s18.postimg.cc/5e45ekdkp/015.jpg

Used the ol GL to catch the lumps from the screener & pile in the opposite corner for the B50 to haul out later. The tunnel ramp is lil steep for the old GL, plus it only hauls half as much as the B50. Once the 'fines' pile upstairs got wide enough to use the bellydump again, parked the GL & hauled lumps direct with B50.

Very neat and organised operation. I like when the ole GL comes in to play. Kind of missing that one bopping around, old style. :D I saw the German guys have an elevator hoisting trucks between floors. Could save som AMP'S
Carry On Please :)

Looks like you've been making some great progress down there, i kinda like "old time digging' that's not just the really heavy mining equipment

Yeah the Tamiyas were good fun back in the day when my layout was much smaller. I don't need an elevator Bo, I got Fumotec tough equip ;) also, as I get older, my metabolism seems to be dropping, need more exercise :o

Frizzen, did you not spot my bucket in the 1st pic? :p

Hi Joe-every time I look at this thread I am amazed at how much dirt you have moved with your machines. It would be interesting to know how much stick-time you have with your models but I am sure you enjoyed every minute of it. I really like the picture of the "fines" pile. That kinda gives an idea of how much work has been done. Keep at it!!!
