Hey All, I have a small Black Passion update!

I was going to wait till things are closer to final assembly before posting more pics but I'm just so happy with how the lights are coming along, I wanted to post pics:)
A big thanks to Travis for reccomending replacing the 3 volt bulbs in the cab marker lights with led:D:cool:
i had a minor problem with the air cleaner lights which is now fixed and will install next along with lights under the cab door and fender skirt thanks to Kaf343 :):D:cool:

Thanks again so much to everyone involved in this build so far:) Steve, Rick, Alfy,Rod, John,Ric,Paul, Keith.
because without your help and talents, it wouldnt look like this......

I apologize to all who may think this build is dragging on :D:o but I like how well all is going and looking.Besides....last time I checked its still -20C outside and another foot of snow just fell in the time it took me to post this message:eek::eek::mad::mad:

thanks for looking and any comments or suggestions:)

Great news! Talked with my tech, Mario-lol, last night..As I will be busy with a volleyball tournament today, and most parts are here-just waiting on a couple things. My truck will be uncovered today and work will be done, maybe even enough for some more pics to be posted...woot! woot! One happy girl! :)

Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

Sorry, small update only on Black Passion.:o
I have been getting stuff done, wiring is almost done:):D almost ready to drop the cab on for good!:D
one thing i had to complete was the cab skirt plates that Kaf343 made for me and they are now mounted and thought i would share how they look so far.....

http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/...ps85b59790.jpg

http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/...pseb731e47.jpg

Next is drill the holes and mount the 10 1.8mm leds I have for each side :D:D

By the time I'm done, I think even Smiley will be proud of me:p:p:D:D

I guess my master plan of doing everything in the proper order on this build went out the window now:eek:
I have a fully wired and decked out cab which I find myself taking on and off the chassis a million times as careful as i can while im still mounting and adding to the chassis:eek::o:o.
oh well, bound to happen, only my second truck :)

Thanks for looking

Mario

Looking awesome Mario. Really looking good. Sue must be happy to see it back together again. Hopefully it warms up a bit up there and you can run it.

Thanks Keith. I'm very pleased with how they turned out:).
This was by far the most tricky to install. To make them fit and clear the steps on the chassis and also fit the cab perfectly was a challenge:eek:
Fortunately I did not have to touch the cab plastic, just some minor hand file work, double and triple check fit on chassis and cab then altogether.... About 4 hrs later and now ready for the lighting stage:D

Thanks Bigrigger, yes, Rick did an incredible job on the paint. You can hold and look at the cab at any angle and it is very hard to see any flaws in it at all:cool:

Running videos are coming but not until the cab goes on one last time. :)

Thanks Paul, means a lot to me coming from one of the masters of clean fit and finish:cool:
I'm sure this build would have moved along a little quicker if it wasn't for the fact that 80% of the build has been on our small kitchen table which Susan has been nice enough to allow me to pretty much own it since November:eek::eek::D

So I guess, not bad for a kitchen table build eh?:D

Hey all.
Going to see the graphics guy on Monday. Here is a rough picture of font style and layout. the actual decals will be in black and chrome just like the hood logos. not the grey in the pic.

http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/...psbbf4c7e7.jpg

plan on getting them for the trucks and the tanker, lowboy, refer and dump trailers. Should look sweet:D

Tell me what ya think?

Awesome, Mario and Sue. That's a great logo! That will look great with the black paint on the new truck! Only thing is, are you going to stick the logo to the cab, or will you stick it to the fuel tank, or steps, like some companies do? I'd stick to the later. Keep that paint job flawless and clean.

Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

Nice looking. Like the logo also. Are you not putting the logo on the loader, or is that a separate entity?

Supermario 03-03-2013 04:13 AM

Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

Thanks for the compliments and ideas.
I know what you mean about keeping the cab paint clear Nathan but I think we will stick to logo on the door. The fuel tank and steps are not large enough for a decent logo:confused:

Hey Dwayne, just give Ric a call, I'm sure he can set you up with a pair. He offers them in all amber, all red or red and amber:cool:

Thanks Dirthair. I didn't realize I forgot the loader:eek::p
It will definitely get a logo. I've already removed the Magom sticker to make room for it;):D

I was thinking, all you need now is to goto vista print and get some S&M Trucking business cards, then go to custom ink and get some t-shirts made. You'd be all set ready to go. Lol. :D:D

That's a not bad idea! A few business cards for a chuckle but I really like the T shirt idea!
