Funny you ask about fireworks. Ive always wanted to try using some of those fire crackers ? not sure the proper name for them but, they look like little sticks of dynamite with a fuse and they go bang. I figured might work great to simulate a blast of a bench in the open pit but we cant get them here in Canada anymore.:( I was going to ask one of you guys to bring some up with you but I would hate to see any of you get in trouble at the border trying to smuggle contra band explosives into the country.:cop: There is a fire works store just minutes from my place and im sure we can set a few off ( depending on if there's a fire ban on in August ) So I leave it up to you guys if you want to bring your own or just use what's available up here in Canada. |

Re: bigfords trucks
I'm interested to see how the RC4WD GRU does for you and how you like it, hate to say it but I have heard they have a tendency to not last long and lock up. Good luck.

Re: bigfords trucks

Re: bigfords trucks
Is that the elusive dozer from Utah ? Good catch
|
Re: bigfords trucks
Very cool dozer! That's an awesome looking machine. Is that a Barebones? What did FedEx do now?
|
Re: bigfords trucks
Also hard to tell from the photos but is the front of the deck on the lowboy dragging the ground? Need more springs on the truck and trailer? Maybe go solid mount, have Steve or Russ or somebody mill up something that looks like springs but are solid but keep the axle articulation?
|
Re: bigfords trucks
the axles are on the bump stops and the nose of the trailer was about a credit card
thickness off the ground. I need to do up the springs on the sleeper truck as that is the one set up for this lowboy. |
Re: bigfords trucks
Mark, just a thought, have are you familiar with Russ's truck Sour Diesel? He used a 775 can motor, planetary gearbox and LiPO pushing 25V for a truck pull. He posted a video of him smoking that motor but maybe less volts and a lighter trigger finger would be a good setup for moving heavy iron like that?
Read about Sour Diesel here; http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...ht=sour+diesel |
Re: bigfords trucks
More axles.........more axles......more axles........:D
