hippy's pete.
hello. i thought i would try my hand at this. been around trucks all my life so it is about time i try out a r/c one.
so i was surfing the net looking at 1/32 scale trucks and found this one. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...153_675057.jpg yes it is a r/c. came with poor electronics and a week steering setup. also a friend of mine drove it off a table one afteroon. well the frame was broken after the tanks. but every thing else was fine. so now time to make him mine! took him apart. modded the steering to take a micro servo saver and metal gear micro servo. hitech 85 i think. took decal off to help blacken out the area. all so replaced the thing they were using for a speed controller for a xps ae micro esc. 3 coats of black. 2 coats of clear mettalic. frame extension 3". soon to figure out how to make fenders. custom 3/8 tube stacks. micro crawler motor. 6 cell battery. specktrum radio. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...y/IMG_1835.jpg |

Re: hippy's pete.
More to come. Needs fake drive shaft. Also was wondering about fiber-optics for clearance lights? Really need to figure out how or what to use for the full fenders.
Thanks for looking. Shaun |
