Cossetts Aussie Knight (finished)

Hi all,

This is my first rc truck build and it's a Knight Hauler with MFU that I'm turning into a Aussie,it will have a brass bull bar, ac unit, road train mud flaps, stone guard, bug deflector, and some flashing beacons from Pistenking a German company with the best flashing beacons around.

Any how let me know what you guys think this will be a long project and being my first rig I'm not going to rush it

Hi all,

Some more pics and the driver that was hired, the paint had to be all rubbed back as it was in the high 30's when it was done and started pealing blistering from the heat last summer, the lesson we learnt was don't paint in weather above 30 :p

Cheers Cossett

Hi all,

Here are links to there youtub vid and there site Pistenking

They make the best flashing lights I seen so far, I ordered 2 from them really good service they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and Andreas Rieger (owner) was more than help full with my enquire :p

Here is a video of it

Hi All,
Another place I have found to be very good for beacons is:
http://www.schmidt-teknik-hobby.dk/p...engelsk-5.html

John makes a good beacon and is reasonable priced, last ones I got were 80Euro and that is for 2 beacons and a controller board. One of the good parts with his is if you are crafty you can change the direction it rotates! Looks good with one clockwise and the other counter clockwise!

Hi IDontKnow,

Some of the reason I ended up getting the Pistenking lights are the circuit boards are mounted in the lights and
# Wide voltage range (4-12V) so you can adjust the speed
# True to the original function
# Innovative LED technology
# Integrated electronics
# Two-wire connection
# Long life
# Easy installation
# 2 types of mounting on a pole or screw on

The only thing I had to buy separate was my choice of on/off switch and battery connector that I got from my local Jaycar electronics store

The ones I got we 2 x RKL16-OG = 70,00 Euro
1 x Shipping and handling= 14,50 Euro to OZ
the more you buy the cheaper they are

Hi Cossett, I know I commented and saw your Knight over on Scale 4x4, but I figured I'd say a little something here too. Looks like you are well on your way to having a cool Aussie tractor. I like that stone guard. Looks like you really took your time with it. It must be soldered? If so, that is some fine brass work.

Re: Cossetts Aussie Knight Update

Hi all, Today my TOPCAD ALU wheels arrived as I wasn't happy with the standard Tamiya wheelshttp://www.topcad.com.hk/topcad/en/i...1115192009.jpghttp://www.topcad.com.hk/topcad/en/i...1115192001.jpg Front
and Rearhttp://www.topcad.com.hk/topcad/en/i...1115192332.jpghttp://www.topcad.com.hk/topcad/en/i...1115192318.jpg when I start assembling all the after market parts I'll get better pics on my Knight, so now I have to work out how to make some valve stems for these nice wheels.:D:D
Oh IHSteve I will still get some wheels off you once this build is finished but had to get rid of the Tamiya ones :D:D
