What do you mean by "those" frame rails I think you are mistaken as to where they came from.

Wow, that's a big gap between the cab and the first drive axle! Great job on the body work. I really want to see what it looks like with the grill in place, and a visor. It's going to be sharp, I am sure.

Hi great rig i dont mean to critisize but how come your cab paint looks so thick ? What paint are you useing please dont take this comment the wrong way thanks

Stylin n profilin 08-06-2011 04:53 PM

Re: Pete 352...(Got wheelbase) Project "Teddy Bear"

Thanks guy's...Diddy...the paint is an automotive paint and it is basecoat / clearcoat..There's not alot of paint..the clear gives it that depth and thickness look to it..:D

Re: Pete 352...(Got wheelbase) Project "Teddy Bear"

It's coming together nicely, John. The only thing that kind of baffles me are the mud flaps. With the full fenders covering the rear, the mud flaps just look out of place. I think if it were my truck, I'd make some short ones with chrome weights, and then mount them to the fenders, from the inside rear.

That's good. I didn't want to come across as being harsh and offend anyone. It was just something that bugged me, and I know my opinion is not always going to be the same as the next guys. :D

Re: Pete 352...(Got wheelbase) Project "Teddy Bear"

Thanks Ed.and thanks Tracy...After doing this one i cant wait to redo my K100..Not much different..just better paint:D:D...Nate..I said that to him and he said well you work truck has mudflaps hanging behind the full fenders..and it does..but there stainless...not badboy custom painted ones:D:D

Stylin n profilin 08-08-2011 01:13 PM

Re: Pete 352...(Got wheelbase) Project "Teddy Bear"

plus..the stainless don't really cover the tires in the rear.:o:(

Re: Pete 352...(Got wheelbase) Project "Teddy Bear"

Ahh, indeed, but as you said, not quite wrap around full fenders, so not really the same thing. That's a nice shot of the rear. Nice looking Peterbilt.

Re: Pete 352...(Got wheelbase) Project "Teddy Bear"

Well Nate....Them mudflaps came off tonight....Now much better..:D:D Was playing with styrene while waitting for the aluminum grill to be made...that blank space was bothering me...:D:D not great but for a quick fix for now it works.:p:p

Re: Pete 352...(Got wheelbase) Project "Teddy Bear"

Jon that lil styrene grill you made fooling around looks pretty **** good, looks better then most aftermarket aluminum grills, that Pete is looking good man.

Espeefan 08-09-2011 07:47 PM

Re: Pete 352...(Got wheelbase) Project "Teddy Bear"

Nice, John. The grill looks good for being thrown together as a stand in. Not that it's my truck, but you know what else would be sweet? A bigger, polished aluminum visor. :D It would match so well with the bumper and grill. Maybe you should poke and prod the Teddy Bear and see what he thinks. I'm telling you, it would look nice. Okay, I'm just glad the mudflaps are gone. :D
