JD 9996
Here is my newest conversion. I did not build this, but will be converting it to rc. It's going to take a minute to do this. Dismantling it now and building parts.

Re: JD 9996
For those of you who don't know the intricate mechanics of a cotton picker, here it is. I had/have to remake many of the alumunium pieces from .32 brass. It is coming to together nicely.

Re: JD 9996
Holy cow a cotton picker bomb went off on your table:eek:Looks like it is coming together or apart nicely axle looks good under it:)
|
Re: JD 9996
That's going to be great it looked awesome at Jackson n it's gonna b even better as an RC
|
Re: JD 9996
WOW Rob, that looks like a lot of parts. If thats not a spare table in a spare room you must be married to a saint. I can't keep a caulking gun or tools in the laundry room for more than a day or two before I am told to get them put way much less a project of this magnitude.
Oh and I hope you have a manual or took lots of pics. Good luck with it. |
Re: JD 9996
Man Rob that is sure looking good cant wait to see it up and running..

Re: JD 9996
Thats sweet Rob ;) I love all the different things that can be done :D
|
Re: JD 9996
Cotton pickers are something I know nothing about, but to me they always looked really cool and different from the combines I do know. This is a great conversion to watch. One of your more unique ones, to be exact.
|
Re: JD 9996
coming along nicely Rob! You need to plant a scale cotton field now:D:D:D
|
Re: JD 9996
Wow that is a very nice model - well built through and through - looks as though they had planned it to be RC - lots of space - or so Rob makes it look that way.
