I am still trying to decide what direction I want to go. For now I just want it drivable for Indy. Arioch bring your stuff and I will bring a can of mat clear to spray the whole body that way the chrome will be dulled as well. We will talk it over at the show.

Re: Junk truck and trailer
Jimmy keeps saying he going to bring his tow truck to the shows but it never shows up. he must still be working on it.
|
Re: Junk truck and trailer
Gee. For being a junk truck, it looks as good as any other stock Tamiya I've seen. :D
You should have beat the body up some. Make dents in it with a hot soldering iron to make the plastic soft, then push it in by hand. I'm surprised you put a drivetrain in it too. I think I would have left it a dummy. |
Re: Junk truck and trailer
When I say JUNK TRUCK you have to know all of the parts were left overs from other projects no bearings all bushings and some are even plastic. I must say that the truck held up better than I could imagin even after puting it on it's side about 40 times and multiple runs over the ramp with the trailer it still drives as good as the day I put it together. Scott must have pulled this thing around with his towtruck for hours and for the record Scott did the most damage when he drove it off the bridge he broke an exhaust stack tip off but it was funny to watch.
