1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Hello to all my friends
Here is my new 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson tracked loader. I will use Leimbach hydolic system on it. As electronics, I bought servonaut BMA and M220. I am looking for a original sound system for my tracked loader not like servonaut SMT. Opening boxes http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0914-00873.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0914-00869.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0914-00851.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0914-00845.jpg According to manuel the first issue is side trunks of track, however it is unpainted. Firstly I thought join parts unpainted than I change my mind. Now I paint spoon and side trunks. I used RAL 7016 for downside parts and I will use RAL 1007 leibherr yellow upside parts. I want to construct a original standart painted car. http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00895.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00894.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00890.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00884.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00883.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00879.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00877.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0914-00874.jpg |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
RAL 7016 provided perfect color in perfect condition, but 1007 could not provide as the same performance; therefore, I will buy auto paint instead of spray.
I used metal tooth instead of standart plastic ones. http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00884.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00883.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00877.jpg Than I jointed motor and its connection parts. http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00904.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00903.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00902.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00901.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00898.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00897.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00895.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0915-00890.jpg |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
I joined and sticked upside parts.

Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
After paint dried, I add my stickers instead of Carson. The reason that is stickers very weak and they can easily spoiled. After aplication of stickers, I spreyed polisher on al cab, so it saves both paint and stickers. Note: Bostancı insaat means BOSTANCI CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Now I added hydraulics. I wonder why fittings are smaller than nipples ? It is impossible to fit them on the input and outputs of valf. If you guys have any idea please let me know.

Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
I was going to ask what the distance between the tilt & loader arm holes were on the bucket, but you have it all assembled already!
I wonder if it'd be possible to get the bucket seperately? |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
@ Lil Giants, forgive me I could not understand the points. Could you show them on a picture ?
I did not assembled, I just put all them all together, I know you are a professional, If you have any idea for improvement I open to all. |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Nice build ,congrats on your new trackloader:),About how long did it take you to put it all together?

I might like to purchase this bucket from the Carson loader, if it is sold seperately, for a different loader model that I have. The distance between upper & lower pin holes of my current bucket is 35mm, which greatly impairs the curl radius at a low level. I'm currently using a bucket from the Bruder track loader and that particular distance is about 30mm & the bucket dumps sharply at a much lower height. |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
You are lucky because lenght is very nearly 35 mm. I am not sure does they sell bucket separetely. However, I believe that it will be fit for you tracked loader.

Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Although cap was white, I used spray polisher to get realistic view.
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1006-01089.jpg I added oil depot detail. I painted metallic head of it. http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1006-01084.jpg I made little shorter hydraulic hoses than leimbach offered. So my system works more efficient. http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1007-01100.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1007-01097.jpg After hydraulic done, I mounted servonaut m220. http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1009-01112.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1009-01109.jpg I directly mounted leimbach hydraulic esc to m220. I can directly control hydraulic motor speed and on-off properties from radio. http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1009-01115.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1009-01119.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1009-01120.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1009-01121.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1009-01122.jpg |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
I have a question to users of raupen and dozer
Did you guys recommend to add more weight on the loader and how many kilo does it takes Scaleart CAT ? used 12 volt battery on the videos. I wait my 4s lifepo battery it will be 13.2 volt so, my raupe will be more strong. Here is the videos of hydrolic test and driving test http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6F1tr...&feature=g-upl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-yP3...&feature=g-upl |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
This looks like such a cool model! I want one very badly! Where did you purchase the hydraulic kit for the model? Do you think you will have enough room in the chassis for all the electronics, especially with the addition of the hydraulic system?
Nice videos. Seems to have excellent performance! The hydraulics are very responsive. Good to see the bucket has an improved tipping geometery. Perhaps that bucket cylinder has just a tad to much stroke, as it begins to curl the bucket back in, once the linkage passes the maximum extended limit? A very minor problem, if at all. |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Looks Great!
What are the tracks made of....plastic, aluminum? Did you have to paint all the track pieces individually? |

Very nice model, the one I dream of héhé :) The scaleart 963B is at around 10kg. You should try to add some more weight to yours, I've read somewhere that with the Carson at 9kg, it runs great and has better traction. In your first videos we can clearly see some foam in the hydraulic oil tank, you should add more oil, until around 3/4 of the full tank, it is very important. Please add more videos as you run this beauty in some dirt :D |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
@ Espeefan ,
I bought it from ttm modellbau (I live in Turkey and a couple companies send it here) I absolutely believe there is enough room in the chassis for everything. I am going to arrange electronic and battery and I am going to add their pictures. I aggre to you about bucket problem, and I tried to fix it. However It is not easy to fix, There is a need of new joint or new hydrolic boom unfortunately. I belive that it will not hurt me when I will play and I ignored it :) @ptebbe Tracks are plastic or pvc something. I did not painted tracks they printed before. However it is a kind of undercoat paint like all chasis parts. I painted chasis with the same liebherr gray and I used polisher but I was too lazy to paint tracks :) @alococat Carson is 11 kg now without addition of weight. It really conufuse me :) I know 3/4 rulez and it was 3/4. When I stop pump I can see it, but it works very fast and it procude foam :( Therefore I changed my battery preferance. At first I thought to use 5s lifepo 16.5 volts because of hydrolic I am going to use 4s lifepo 13.2 volts. |

Sorry if Im confusing your mind about weight, I need to check one more time this information I have read in a french forum, cant find the thread at the moment. The weight difference might come from the difference between hydraulics and electrics models. About the foam of oil, I do remember on my LR632 and my A25C models I had this same issue when I was low on oil. |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Thanks for the information, Kamyoncu! How high can the bucket lift? Do you think it would be enough to load a dump truck or trailer, without the need for a ramp or elevated piece of ground?

@ alokocat whenever you see the topic please let me know.
@ espeefan I will add pictures with my mercedes 8x8 osswald truck on the my woking table ,so you can see real ability of loader. |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
watching ur videos has inspired me go hydro on my carson track loader.

Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Kamyoncu, what voltage are you running your pump at? I saw some specs on the hydraulic kit for the Carson loader and noticed it assumed a 7.4 volt battery pack. Your pump does make a lot of foam, when it is running at max speed, but maybe some of that has to do with a higher voltage? I do agree with others. I think the oil level could be a little higher.

My memory is going from bad to worse I guess :D This thread : http://camions-rc.fr/forum/viewtopic...14829&start=30 The LR634 weight 7.5kg without electric motors and cylinders, and weight 10-11 kg when finished...It's with the electric version, I guess the hydraulic should be heavier. Please more videos by the way ;) |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
thank you rcguyfarms
thank you alokocat :) I will take new videos soon. :) Nathan, Both servonaut and leimbach electronic systems allows maximum 4s lipo (14.6 volt). I used 12 volt in the videos. In the future I will use 4s lifepo (13.2 volt). Before taking new videos I will add little more oil into tank to see results :) |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
That brushless motor Leimbach offers with their pump runs about 30% faster then the brushed motor. To my understanding , the brushed motor was approx 6000rpm on 12v & this this brushless is about 9000rpm.
4s lipo is 16.8v on a full charge & is down to around 14v when it needs to be recharged! I understand lifepo is lower overall voltage, but how much exactly I don't know. Whatever voltage you choose to run, I'd recommend you back the voltage down for the pump to 11 -12v by adjusting the EPA, that'll give you plenty of volume for quick response. Run that pump too fast & it could self implode! Better yet, does your radio allow for channel mixing? Mix the valves with your pump so the pump only turns on when you open a valve; prolongs run time per batt charge, make your oil quality last longer between changes & extend the life of your pump. ;) |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Thank you lil giants. I use FC 16 and I know that it allow mixing. I am going to try it.
About self imploding, nozzle and nipples seem ok when it wokring and when I puss with my hands, however hydrolic pump scares me. |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Thanks for the details. I am to purchase one soon. Is there enough room in there for more hydraulic valves?
Thank you, |
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
@ Rc13 unfortunately there is no room for extra valves.
Here is outisde test videos. I used 12 volt battery and It satisfied me. my carrier :) http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1025-01221.jpghttp://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...1025-01220.jpg Pictures from area . Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
It passed so much time but it is time to make interrior of the loader.
Firstly I cut the rear gravity. Because my batery is a lifepo and it is massive. Than I made some small details under the cab. Than I settle leds on the cab. http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03667.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03669.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03670.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03672.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03679.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03680.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03681.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03686.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03688.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03689.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0511-03691.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0512-03693.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0512-03697.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0512-03702.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0512-03704.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0512-03705.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0512-03705.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0512-03709.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0512-03710.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03715.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03716.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03718.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03722.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03723.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03726.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03728.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03729.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03734.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03736.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...0513-03738.jpg |

Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
Very nice work! How large is your battery? It looks huge, and ready for a couple hours of non-stop operation.
|
Re: 1:14 Liebherr LR 634 Carson - Leimbach
It is a 4s lifepo actually smaller one ( there is only 2 version at HK) . The most important benefit of this batery is 13.2 volt and all 12 volt stuff support it. I can drive loader non stop 3*4 hours. (after that much work naturally hydrolic pump burning) .
With the same battery I can drive my truck 5*6 hour nonstop or 3-4 hour wedico cat 345 D . As short I have 4 from this batery and I can drive all my machines nonstop from noon to evening :) |
