Hi people, I was wondering if other people cant see the RCT&C banner thats normally at the top of the forum???

I can't see it either. Funny thing is yesterday I could see it but not the advertising banner. Now I see the advertising banner but not the RCT&C banner.
Time to get '00' Biddle on the case. :D:D

Speaking of our RCT&C banner, I was thinking, can we change it monthly to show off the previous months build of the month winner. I like our current banner but its nice to change it up, plus o feel that might show case what our hobby and this forum in general are about. Just an idea, I know shone otherforums use this idea but they don't change them monthly. BTW I can't see the banners either right now on my smart phone and its been like this for about a week I think.

I've got no banner on my I pad and same on Susan's laptop. No banner, just a little box with a ? mark. :confused:

I don't see the RCT&C Banner and all of my programming is up to date on my computer. :update:

I can see the banner all the time, but I didn't know there was an advertising banner?

Anyway, I second BrickNick, I think the banner needs a refresh! Even something a little higher quality, because it looks really pixelated on my PC.

If you guys gave me the right size image for a banner, I could make one up on PhotoShop.

i can see everything fine also however i like the idea of changing it .maybe the every month idea with that months winning build or take a theme every month and have the forum members vote on it every month or it could be any build ..be it truck,trailer or construction equipment and it would give bragging rights to that person:D:D.there are some interesting and really cool builds on this forum and it would be a great way to showcase the talents or interesting vehicles here.or it could be something that someone found or acquired from somewhere...any way you get the idea:D.you got my vote for sure

Banner won't be changed... Freddy went to a lot of trouble getting that silhouette of a generic truck & piece of equipment... no one particular brand name is favored over another, nor any one personal model featured more than anyone else.

It's the forum's signature trademark and it will remain so for long time to come.

I agree with Joe, there is no need to change the banner. Respect FGD!!

I do however have an issue with the banner; it is still not working.
Can we please get a tech to look into the problem. :confused:

I agree. The neutral banner is perfect. The problem with changing the banner is the effect on new people interested in the forum. Maybe the pic of the month is not what they are into and gives a false sense of what this forum has to offer.

The current banner shows all of what the forum offers and draws you in and peaks interest......I never had the pleasure of meeting or speaking with Freddie but he did his homework on this one and was time well spent.:cool:

relax it was only a suggestion ..thats all.i didn't know it was he himself who designed it. yes i too have never had the privilege to talk to him but he sounded like a guy who was kind and generous but also spoke his mind and out of respect for freddie yes it should stay ..especsially if he designed it:)

It work's on my desktop, but not my iphone? maybe I need to break down and upgrade the ios. Didn't want to goto ios5 because of no google map's.

Banner used to be visible on my screen. No more, just not sure when in reduced to a box with an X in the corner...maybe within the last 2-3 days?

Not on mine today either. Only thing I don't like about the banner is the sizing on iPad viewing, though I haven't tried it in a very long time since it always required zooming on every page.

Interesting, It was there when I was skimming through page 1 of this thread, clicked over to page 2 and it disappeared. I know it was there on page 1, because I looked when I saw the subject of the thread.

I haven't seen the banner for years! What's it supposed to look like? Just kidding. The last few days, the banner has been missing, but I don't really care. Less scrolling for me to view the topics that way!

It disappeared for me too who's your i net provider ? my i net gets goofy when we get crap weather :( somethin about a piss poor patch job on the lines some where in the main cable .

I just updated JAVA on my desktop, lost the banner tonight!
Java is the new way to deliver "virus's"!

For what it's worth, my computer does automatic updates itself, for the most part. A couple days ago my computer loaded Internet Explorer 10, and I think that's about the time I noticed the banner not working. Got a Java update today too, but it didn't make any change.
