Articulating KW T800 Dump

I was lucky enough to buy some of FGD's unfinished projects, I hope My completion of them is worthy of what he started.

Here is my T800 dump I'm working on, I picked up the FGD frame and dump body a few months ago. Added some 1.9 Mil Spec tires and RC4WD rims, added a KingHauler day cab, (thanks Paul). Cut the nose off and added a 3D printed T800 nose. Made some tanks and a bumper, installed Servonaut SMX and ESC.

Thanks Brian, quality and detail could be a little better, would be nice if it was a little thicker material and printed with a polished finish. Having said that after a little body work it looks pretty good.

Wow, thanks TRUCKMAKER. Should get it painted this weekend if it warms up a bit. I'll post a video tonight of it articulating and dumping.

Mario

Thanks Mario, the box corners and stacks clear by about an 1/8" when fully articulated either way.

I would say a little tighter than my other steer axle dumps, I'll check this weekend.

This is a cool looking truck. The hood looks awesome. With it having an articulated center joint, is that the sole means of steering the truck now, or are you going to combine the articulated joint with a steerable front axle too, and tighten up the turning radius even more? Those rims and tires are killer looking, by the way!

Thanks for the comment, right now it's just the articulating for steering, I do have a TLT steer axle I can throw in there but the steering radius is pretty close to a stock king hauler. I love the rims as well, I have the same ones on my 1/14 8x8 Hemtt I built a few months ago.

Thanks 22, its just about the same as a standard steering dump. The frame is a little longer with the 18" box on it so its not as tight as a shorter ten wheeler.

LOL, yeah I think I have adhd or abcd or something, but for some reason I always need to power through and get things finished. I have the same tires and rims on my 1/14 Hemtt, I love the look.
