Toggle switch to MFU question

Has anyone used a small toggle switch or similar between the MFU power cable and the battery so the MfU can be left on and power on/off there truck with the toggle switch ?
As I want to put the MFU control box under the hood where it cant be seen ( above the servos ), the main board in the daycab with interior above it and the battery between the chassis rails witch just fits in,
In hind sight it probably would of been easier to hing the hood but the cab has only come back from the painters again and the MFU only arrived last week so I couldnt do a proper mock up of cab /MFU
Here is the toggle switch I want to use, its a little Q11 6 pin DPDT toggle switch capable of up to 12 volts

Tracy,
You can put a switch in series with the power wire but it MUST be a heave duty switch. I use a DPDT 5 amp DC contacts switch so I get a 10 amp capable circuit.

5A 120 VAC

Hi Tracy,
If that is a Double pole (can't tell from the photo) it should work..

I have done this with all of my trucks it makes sure that the MFU is off whilst sitting on the shelf when not in use

Yes Tracy that would work fine, it is the same type of switch I used in my trucks
