thanks for the comments all. i'm thinking it might be a bit too long, i'll get some more pieces on and see how it looks then

got the front fenders and cab mounted and some awesome mule ear stacks from snochaser, so more pics soon

Re: friends in low places - slammed pete

ok so i went crazy and got a shapeways pete hood fenders and some other bits, but they don't seem to fit right... so i'm kinda stuck

see how the fenders are even or a bit over the front of the bumper..

http://photos.bigdogrod.com/i.ashx?g...rdsize=640x480

so i cut the bottom hood bar and added a couple nuts behind the grille to shove the hood and fenders back

http://photos.bigdogrod.com/i.ashx?g...rdsize=640x480

which now looks better on the front, but the curve on the back side is horrible..

so what now?

Is that a low pro tire? ...tire looks small.

yeah, rc4wd lo-riders all the way around

Re: friends in low places - slammed pete

i think i got it, 3mm between grille and hood, another 3mm behind bumper to push it forward, raised the cab the thickness of a 3mm nut, and trimmed 5 mm off the bottom of the fenders...

love this angle, see how the grille is flush with the bumper now too...

also started on making some back covers for the true scale tank mounts and bumpers, but broke my 2mm bit, so only got 4 holed drilled and tapped, can see it in the background on the rear tank mount

thanks for the compliments, this one is on hold for a bit, trying to get some work done on the blue griffin scania so i can paint when the weather gets warm

hadn't thought about a trailer, but a lowboy would seem to fit the theme... lol
