Peterbilt 357

Well I've got the colors on it, now time for some clear. I have a lot to add in the future in addition to the mirrors, grill, lights ect.... wheels/tires, floats, headache rack, center mount taillights, paint the frame, electrics and so on. You guys got me hook, line and sinker at Indy!!!

The truck is looking good Ben it just takes time and it will all come together. If I remember right from meeting you at Indy you have a couple of tricycle motors (kids) running around the house and they can slow down the building progress.:)

Thanks guys. I can't take credit for the body work or chassis, that would be SemiJoe's handy work. I just wanted one done so I can focus on other things. I will try my hand at another truck in the future. Gotta finish my 535C and build a lowboy....

Great looking colors, but I think you should also paint the frame rails to match the cab. That would really make it look sharp! :D

Thanks for the compliments.

Does anyone know of a good adhesive/glue for attaching the amber pieces to the ends of the PMD Peterbilt light buckets?

there is some modeling glue that dries clear - ussually used for making window glass - might try this.

I have tradiotionaly used CA - but tends to make a mess of it - try dispensing on a piece of cardboard then use a needle or tooth pick to place a tiny amount where needed..

Nice color choice for your 2 tone. I would go with a painted frame tho to really set it off. Very sharp truck none the less.

Nice truck, would also look good as a tri-axle dump.

Re: Peterbilt 357 (snochaser's work in progress)

I do want to paint the frame, but I was thinking black. I want to be a "work truck". I will have to think on the same color as the cab.

I need a different motor, the stock 540 is waaaayyyyy to fast, I believe I have heard you guys say a 55turn is a good way to go.?

I hope to build a four axle dump down the road and I'd like to have my fleet have the same color scheme.

Thanks FabOne, you and Stepside really inspired me to buy/ build... now I've got the bug for trucks too.
