I have struggled with the painting as you may have read earlier on.... I have decided to post anyway and let you folks help me out.... I know there are plenty of detail issues... I am trying to save this body before ordering and getting started on its replacement.... Looking for advice... I am going to pin stripe the fenders and cab line where the two colors meet..... Whagt color do you guys feel would be best..... ready.....go!

Re: Beginning my build thread....

i would do one or two shades darker red with a high gloss finish

Re: Beginning my build thread....

Man you paint looks like glass!! Awesome start. with that color combo you could use any number of colors for pin stripe... that's a toughy. I would maybe buy a few and hold it up to the side and see what feels right

The color combo is spot on.:cool::jaw::bounce: I'm like Aaron about the color of pinstripe...hard choice. I think gold would look killer. Wish I could paint like that.

I think gold would be a better choice.Think the black will take away from it.Gold would definitely make it pop.Awesome job on the paint.

GOLD!!!!!!!!! I appreciate the input... SURVEY SAYS>>>>>>> GOLD! I will be getting that GOLD on in a few days I hope. I really do appreciate it,, I would not have thought about GOld. As for my son.....SHUT UP!!! (he is right) lots of calls with me complaining about the paint flashing, the weather, and how often I had to have do overs...LOL.

Re: Beginning my build thread....

Another last minute change.... Let it be known I respect all of the input I have got to this point.... Where I will not be laying any pinstriping down on the red alone I think I may have to choose a nice charcoal pinstiping that will marry the two colors together. Gold is still out there for me, but I think it would be rock star if I where going to have it independent the of the other colors. For the puropose of which I am going to use it I think a charcaol color (slightly darker than the silver) may be best???? Somebody please talk me down if I am incorrect........?????????
