Leyland tipper

Here is a photo of my all wheel drive Leyland tipper
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...sdad2/0063.jpg

The front axle is the TLT-01 which as has been said before does not have much steering angle but the extra grip it gives is more than worth the loss of steering angle.
It is built on Tamiya running gear with a scratch built cab and transfer box

The front wheels have been changed to this http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps36c3c71e.jpg

Very nice trucks, what excavator is that?

uk trucker 01-24-2013 03:35 PM

Re: Leyland tipper

It's a Hobby Engine excavator, the one on rubber tracks. Don't think they make it any more though.

Mr fatcat,
nice crusader,

I see you are from Aberdeenshire, long while since I was up there mooching round the docks before it became Fortress Aberdeen. I was heavy into building model OSV's at the time.

Find lorry modelling more relaxing and more fun.

sharkey, I've got a die cast one too, somewhere:)

Still looks a "mean pulling them in machine"

Just love it when my 1:14 scale Leylands get to recover a MAN or Scania when we are out for a drive at our local meeting place.
