Dual Drive Motors?

Are these any good in a Wedico truck?

They work great in a Tamiya trk too! The dual Buehler 12v's & dual coupler have been in my white 6wd greater than 10yrs with never an issue. All four trks use these same motors & coupler, lots of power & long run times on 2700mAh packs.

Here's what the 3:1 gear looks like inside the coupler.

3:1 coupler with 2:1 hilift tcase , both 6wd Globes

4:1 Carson unit, no reduction in coupler, this powerplant is in my kh dump trk

I tried the coupler with 8000rpm 7.2v motors, very noisy

Joe that is a nice setup. I was wondering about that but instead I got Castle Creations 4600 with a MomBa Max Pro speed controlled. Ed

Joe, dumb question, how did you bolt the Wedico gearbox to the Tamiya transmission?

I made my own adapter from aluminum round stock... your pics above, looks like new holes were drilled in the coupler box.

Given how much brushless motor technology has improved in recent yrs with powerful low KV, this dual coupler idea is a dinosaur & takes up way too much interior space.
