1949 "Nordest" cable hoe

Here are some pics of a small cable hoe I bought last winter. The nice T800 belongs to a friend of mine. Not very common here in europe, specially with such a load on the trailer :D

New home...

Not so good looking from outside, but in an amazing working condition : after 20 years or so of beeing parked, we were able to start it in a few minutes for loading and restart it the next day after a night outside, by freezing weather for unloading !!!!!

Gears, clutches, old grease.......

And finally, the operator's station. Comfort and.....fresh air :D

Thanks for the pictures!:)

Are you going to restore it? Will you be able to get video if it digging?

Cool find.

Looks like a Deutz Diesel engine and I really like the double cone clutch arrangement for the swing. All mechanical drive.

Did not weigh it, but it's supposed to be around 6 or 7t.

The engine is a "Vendeuvre" Z2P, 2 cyl., diesel, air-cooled.
Probably 20 or 23 HP version.
The french company Vendeuvre was once well known for it's tractors and industrial engines for vehicles, but disappeared many years ago....

Restoring proces may take a long time. Most of the body is rusted and can not be salvaged, so I will have to rebuild it. But as mentionned above, the mechanical parts are in excellent condition, so I hope to be able to use it for some old iron exhibitions in the future.
