Radio for Dump Truck

Hi guys. Getting ready for my first build. I'm going to get a Herclules Hobby Actros and put a tipper on it. I will most likely get the MFU as well. Question I have is how many channels do I need? The tipper will be a motor linkage system so will need a second speed control. Any tips and advice appreciated!

You will need 4 channels to operate the MFU and an extra channel to operate the hoist, so 5 all up..

If you are building a rigid, (as opposed to a truck and trailer) you could do it with just 4 channels if you were to connect the hoist ESC to the output of the MFU servo output that usually controls the 5th wheel servo..

A lot of people use Spektrum radios for their trucks, and a DX6 6 channel radio should meet your needs, and still have a spare channel..

I have a cheaper Turnigy 9X, and I cannot fault it, although I am yet to set it up for use with an MFU..
