L Model MACK Wrecker

Here is one of my new projects an L Model MACK wrecker. I started with a Smith Miller truck and I am adding wedico axles and a home made wrecker body. Here is what I have so far.

Thanks guys now I have to decide whether I want to put in a multiple speed trans or just use a gear motor and have one speed.

Single speed would sure make it easier so you don't have to hack the metal body.

Coming together quickly, WOW! You were just talking about it last weekend and now it's halfway completed.:D

Looks like the cab blasted up nicely to give you a fresh surface to work with, and I like the way you kept the wrecker bed proper for its time period with the rounded trim.

Looking forward to more on this build,
-Alex

Thanks guys so far this has been a fun little build and I plan to keep it simple with an A frame and a tow cable. Paul just wait and see what I plan to do with my big wrecker build that will be my next project. I just have to finish this one and the T800 first.

I talked to my advisor and decided to lower the cab and I think it looks a lot better. Let me know what you think.

Travy... I like the taller cab then older trucks sat kind of tall in the seat.. It makes the sides look too tall now..Just My .02
